BIG STREET CONSTRUCTION, INC

They did a phenomenal job. A couple months later when I left Alaska, I got a call from a friend that my heating unit went out and pipes broke. Big Street Construction came out and handled things quickly and easily. They assisted me with dealing with my insurance and is the best in Alaska. They are all super friendly and so helpful! Very affordable. I'm unsure of the exazct cost as it was a few years ago but I just signed up and wanted to let everyone know how amazing this company is.

This is the 2nd company we had to bring in to help renovate our house. I have to say I am extremely pleased the 2nd go round. Big street's crew was not only professional and respectful, ie., yes ma'am, thank you sir etc,... They actually knew what they were talking about when it came to the work that needed to be done and had several great ideas on how to improve some aspects. They renovated mykitchen, giving me room and better storage capabilities. They took the time to look at details and found a few mistakes the previous people had made and not only repaired the mistakes, but improved on the safety of the structures. They took all necessary precautions to help prevent future damages. Over all I was very pleased and impressed with the crew,their knowledge and their dedication. I definitely recommend Big street construction to anyone that wants reliable work done. Thank you Big Street Construction!!

I purchased property from out of state and needed my house built on site. I did a search of construction companies and came across Big Street Construction. I gave them a call and spoke with Brian who was more than courtesy, polite and helpful. Brian explained to me all about Alaskan living and went above and beyond proposing some ideas to better suite my site. Once plans were all drawn up Big Street Construction provided me with a detailed schedule. I have dealt with other construction companies in the past and their scheduling was almost always unreasonable, Big Street was a breath of fresh air. Their workers are very good at what they do as well as respectful and very professional. I was very pleased with the fact that every detail that I wanted in my new home was done exactly the way we spoke about and there were no glitches. I am more than 100% satisfied with the outcome of my new home in Alaska. The day that my new home was complete was also my wedding anniversary and Big Street Construction left a bouquet of flowers on my brand new granite kitchen counter. I would recommend Big Street Construction to anyone who is looking for a construction company to execute a perfect job!!.

Big Street was incredible to work with. They have an amazing staff to work with and an incredible office building to conduct business. My project consisted of a large scale remodel and renovation and new addition. The project was a residential project as well as a commercial project that involved several building trades, engineers, and architects. Whether someone is in the market for a residential contractor or commercial contractor, Big Street is the company to work with. I did find that they are busy but they are worth the wait. I would only expect that a contractor of their caliber would be busy all the time. However, when we scheduled my project, they met ever deadline and even drafted a contract that penalized them if they did not meet the project close out. Incredible company and a wonderful experience. I couldn't be happier!

Contacted company and "Brian" answered the phone. I told him I was interested in remodeling my master bath and if his company would like to give a quote. He replied "yes", but needed to call me back because he was walking into a meeting. Waited two weeks and nothing. Left a message again and no return call. Guess his company is doing so well he doesn't need any more work. Too bad, went with another local contractor and he lost a chance at a 12K job this winter. Horrible service, at least he was some what polite.

They did a great job. I am an out of state owner who was having difficulties with my property manager. Brian and Patty took over the project and kept me informed all along the way. If I had any questions, they were always prompt with replys and answers. Even when heat or water problems outside of their responsibility would occur, they would call the right people for the job and help me anyway that they could. They did quality work in quality time! Thanks Big Street!!

Big Street was there before the fire was even out! This is true.. well the fact that they were at the fire station a mile away performing work on the local station and when the alarm went off and knew it was just up the street I guess the natural thing to do was be there. Would I say that was prompt service? Certainly! We were at a complete loss and felt there was someone there to aid in so many decision I couldn't have done alone. Not only did we get to know this company but also the people that run it, they are really big in the community, they are a wonderful family and really do care about their clients needs. I would without hesitation suggest using them for any construction work big or small.

They were perfectly courteous, but they did not show for the first appointment. They were supposed to come by on 2 other days (I didn't bother to wait at home for those), I gave up calling them back after they didn't show up either of those times. I do live in Delta Junction, to be fair.

Brian and Rich were wonderful! I needed a honest company that would give a fair price, and stand behind their work. I was in the midst of selling my house when I found my septic had failed. I called them, and by the next day they had begun work! The job was finished and they even picked up after themselves. They were respectful, professional, great communicators, and the first construction company I've hired that has cleaned up afterwards! Selling my house in North Pole, and buying a new one in Fairbanks was so much smoother with Big Street on the job!! Thank you! Megan

A tree fell on the power line that was connected to our home.

Big Street was professional and courteous from the first meeting for an estimate until they pulled out of our driveway with the job completed. All deadlines were met or exceeded. During removal and replacement of roof materials, the job site was cleaned up every night.

It didn't happen. My wife could never get a hold of them and they would never return her phone calls. The summer isn't that long, so we had to go with someone else. I should have known that something free was too good to be true, but then again we were new to the community and had no idea.

Work quality is good. Price is ok. Getting ahold of them and getting them to start the work was less than favorable. Even once we got things ready to go they rescheduled several times. Had additional work to be done. Finally got them to come out and look at the job. Did not hear back for a week. Called several times. After a couple weeks finally got a call back that said they were just too busy to do our work.

Big Street said they could provide me with workers to complete a couple of remodeling jobs on a house I own. I live elsewhere and wanted to get the work done in a short amount of time when I was in town. There was a bit of delay and mix-up in getting someone out to the location when I arrived in town, but the person they ultimately sent to help me brought an intern assistant with him and was great to work with. Dennis was very professional, worked hard, and did a great job on everything I asked him to do. The plumbing portion of the job expanded quite a bit due to the discovery of some leaking pipes, but Dennis fixed those, got the sink installed. He and his assistant tore down the wall I wanted out in short order, tore out some old carpeting and installed new carpeting, and got everything else I was hoping to have done accomplished. Dennis was very professional and clearly knew what he was doing. He made suggestions about materials and processes to improve the quality of the repair work I was wanting done. I was very pleased with the work that he and his assistant did and I will definitely seek him out to do additional remodeling and repair work for me and would contact Big Street to complete other projects. I was more than satisifed with the work done and the workers sent to me by Big Street Construction.

Very professional and courteous workers. Great experience & I certainly would recommend using. Very fast. Great price. Very trustworthy. Did not do anything that didn’t need doing even though I might not have known better. Saved me $4,000! Minimally invasive. Didn’t tear up my yard and left it better than it was. Thanks!

They were recommended by our insurance company and we went with them,. It took a month to get it done and it is still not ready. The water had got into the cabinet. They did not show up at time but they did a good job. They workers were nice but there was a bit of a communication problem. Some of the cleanup was done right and some was not.

They did a good job. They were very reasonable. I haven't had to call them back out to fix anything.
