About us

At Sourdough Fuel, we know consistent, dependable high quality heating fuel is essential in Alaska, and we deliver. Our fuels have one of the lowest pour points in Alaska, allowing customers to use their fuel even if temperatures plunge below -60ºF (-51º C). Our fuels are also tested at a minimum of every four hours in a state-of-the-art laboratory for their cloud and pour points, gravity and flash level to ensure you will always get a product of the highest quality. Sourdough Fuel as been serving the needs of customers throughout Interior and Northern Alaska for over 50 years. We're proud to deliver heating fuel to over 9,000 customers on an automatic delivery system and to many others on an "on call" basis. We maintain a the largest fleet of heating fuel trucks for fuel deliveries to homes and businesses in the Interior. For customer convenience, we also offer 24-hour furnace maintenance service, a budget payment plan, senior citizen and military discounts. Sourdough Fuel is also proud to employ over 80 Alaskans, most of whom are long-time and active community members.

The service representatives I talked to be kind and courteous, and the company was prompt in rendering services. I would definitely use Sourdough fuel again.

It went very well overall....explanations made sense....follow-up was excellent. We have no issues since their visit.
Description of Work: We needed a second opinion about a Bedarus Boiler issue and we called Sourdough and a technician, as well as, an Office Manager talked us through the issue and then offered to send someone out. Two technicians arrived checked over the boiler set it to normal operating settings and did not charge us anything. They checked back in 3 weeks to see if everything was operating and it was...we have obviously become new customers of Sourdough.
