We were traveling through Fairbanks on our way to the Arctic Circle when our clutch burned out. (We can talk about the advisability of trying to get to the Arctic Circle with an old car with a very worn clutch some other time. :) Anyway, we called around a bit and couldn't find anyone open on Saturday until we found Right Choice. Now, in this situation, MOST mechanics would sense the desperation of the situation and double their prices. (or triple) Not only did Right Choice charge us LESS than what other shops in the area would have charged local folks (about $1200 at other spots, $900 at RC), they prioritized the job and got it done THAT DAY so that we could still finish out our trip. On top of THAT, the personally drove us to our hotel and picked us up afterwards so that we didn't have to call a cab. Nancy and her husband (whose name I've forgotten... sorry!) at Right Choice are *genuinely* nice people, who work hard and charge a fair rate for the job at hand. We were so pleased, that we're planning on taking the car BACK to Fairbanks (we live in Anchorage) for future work, just because we feel like we can trust them to tell us the truth about what's wrong and what needs to be fixed. I can not recommend Right Choice Automotive highly enough. Nice folks, fast and efficient, and priced fairly, no matter who you are! Hands down the best auto-repair experience OF MY LIFE.
