Fairbanks Stump Grinders/Yellow Snow Plowing

Pleasure to deal with this company and its staff. The crew was efficient. The attention to safety and PPE was superb. The cleanup was excellent. They worked in a tight area and my property was not disturbed in the least, except for the missing trees. Children would love to watch this big machine and the tree removal process from a safe distance and with appropriate hearing protection.

We made the call in May and they set a day with the promise of a phone call right before they arrived. This is exactly what they did and made quick work of the trees that needed to be cut.

This happened last winter when we had a big dump of snow and a large tree fell on my chain link fence. My dogs would have gotten out so I called. They charged just under $400 then added $400 to gain access to the tree. It was in my cleared yard which you could walk to easily. They said they would be back to haul off the branches but never returned. I will never use them again or recommend them. Don't use them with out an estimate and make sure there won't be any added fees.

I came home to a completed job and a largely clean-up workspace. My only gripe, and it is a small one, is I wish they had moved the birch logs to the top of the driveway instead of stacking them neatly where they would obviously not be split nor used. Otherwise the job was done neatly, apparently very quickly according to a witness, with no damage to anything on the property. I recommend them for anyone. but especially if you have a tree in a difficult location that needs to be removed carefully. I don't recall the exact date of the service, but it was sometime last summer.

Update-- I have been 'fired as a customer' by the owner of this company for complaining about both the lack of quote, lack of receipt and lack of cleanup. I have changed my grade from B to D

I was very happy with the service that Stump Grinders provided. I called earlier in the week and spoke with Jon. He was able to come out later that week and remove our stumps. The process was fast and easy. It took him about 30 mins to remove all of the stumps. I would definitely use stump grinders again.

Came in, ground stumps and left. Made quick progress and were in and out. I would definately call them again.

Uses a front loader to remove snow giving more flexibility to move and remove snow. Did a great job removing built up snow.

After a heavy snow fall we desperately needed our steep driveway cleared. John came within hours of being called. Very quick & thorough - left a wide, clear path and plenty of room to park our vehicles. We now have an arrangement whereby he comes automatically. Highly recommend. Look forward to working with him this summer on clearing some land.

I called Stump Grinders as they listed that they do snow removal, I had also seen a sign posted on the main street reading, Snow Removal, call... (with a phone number), I wrote the number down and when I looked it up it was Stump Grinders. A man answered the phone and I asked him if I could schedule snow removal, he sounded a little preoccupied and asked if he could call me back, I gave him my name and number, and had doubts if he even wrote down my information as he sounded as if he was in a hurry to get off the phone. Well, I must have been correct... he NEVER called me back. If a business will not call you back then I figure that they don't care enough to do a good job. I will never call back again.

It has been a real pleasure working with these people: they are all personable and competent. There were a few glitches in communication but overall they finished work ahead of schedule with no damage to any of our structures, and tidied up nicely.

Excellent experience

Honestly...a job well done. They came out and gave me an estimate of both the time and the price it would take to remove my tree. They were done in just under 2 hours. That included the limbs chipped and the stump ground down. Very professional, from the service to the way they were dressed. I have, and will continue to recommend them.

Great Service, and Fantastic Work! When we purchased our home, we needed help in removing some horrible stumps that were in the yard. We hired Fairbanks Stump Grinders to help us remove them. Jon did a great job, left the area clean, and made sure we were happy with the work performed before he billed us. The service was quick, and the cost was minimumal. We respected and enjoyed Jon so much that we asked for his assistance on a much larger job that needed both stump removal, and wood chipping on about 1.2 acre property; Which he cleared in just a few visits. The 1.2 acre property was an abandoned community playground/park that was being rebuilt - Which Jon complete free of charge for the neighborhood kids, and their families. There is only one person we would recommend you call, and that is Jon at Fairbanks Stump Grinders!

They are the only company I have ever used for tree service. The work they did was excellent. They were polite, professional and punctual. They cleaned up when they were done. They didn't tear up my yard at all. They are an all-around great company.

We felt very satisfied with everything. The price, the professionalism, the time involved and the overall job was excellent.

from Phone call to payment took all of about 4 hours he came right over fired up his machine and worked our 3 stumps for about an hour. he spent about 20 min. talking to us about how to properly seed and water the area where the stumps were. what a wealth of Knowledge this guy is!
