C & A CLEANING SVC

I was moving to another residence and I had to move myself from one place to another. Because it was just me, I opted to hire a cleaning service to clean the place prior to handing in my keys. C&A Cleaning was referred to me by a friend. When I called to schedule an appointment to have them come out and clean my rental prior to vacating, it was initilally only for the kichen and bathrooms. I was able to get them to come out a week later. The owner (Connie) called me back to rechedule the cleaning. She seemed frazzled and a distracted. We agreed on the day after the initial appointment. When she called me the day before the appointment and told me she my place scheduled for that day. I reminded her that it was for the following day and she began to tell me to calm down (which I was) I then mentioned that I was working on my rugs at that moment and she offered the rug cleaning as part of her service. After asking the price, I agreed to add that to the package and told her I'd see her the next day. She told me to clean out the refridgerator prior to her cleaning it. At no time did she mention coming over to assess my place. She just told me that if I could not be there, just leave the front door unlocked. I had been moving/cleaning non-stop over a four day period. The day before she was supposed to come, I pulled an all-nighter, taking out the trash and loading up my car to move another load to my new place. The next day, Connie arrived on time with her crew (2 others). Initially, she was pleasant, but when I began to show her around, her disposition began to change. We found a cabinet that I had forgotten to empty and she was displeased that there was a few items of furniture and boxes left in some of the rooms, even though I assured her that I was there to move them. I had not yet vacuumed the floors and was in the process of pretreating/removing some stains. She then told me that the price she initially quoted wouldn't cover the costs, and I told her that I understood that and that I would pay more. We then went downstairs and she informed me that the cleaning would take more time- about three days. I was taken aback. She went on to tell me that she and her crews were too busy and worked seven days a week and she would need more time to clean my place. I told her to hold on so that I could call the property mamger to arrange for more time for me to hand over my keys. When I was finished with the phone call, I went back to inform Connie that I had pushed my move-date back, I found that she and her team were gone. I had to call her cell phone several times before she would pick up. When she finally answered the phone she told me that she was not going to accept the job and there was too much work to do. She then hung up on me. My place was not that bad. If Connie felt that it was too much to handle, she should have clamly requested that the we reschedule the job to allow for more time, or explained that the work was too much for her crew before I went to ask for more time in the house. Her behavior was childish and unproffesional. I cannot comment on her crew's job performance, as they left before they began, but I would not recommend C&A cCeaning based on their owner's rudeness. **Note: After C&A left, my 12 year old and I began busting our butts cleaning the place. We didn't finish the job, but we knocked out the kitchen and completely cleaned all of the carpets ourselves. Judging on how good everything turned out, I'm glad we did not waste money hiring them.

The moving clean up was adequate. I did not fully inspect the apartment after the work was done. It was a very busy time for me, and the fee had already been paid. My negative feeling about this company comes from when I made an appointment with the owner for an estimate for regular cleaning bimonthly. She did not show up for this prearranged meeting. Also I did not like the fact that the owner did not do any of the cleaning. She brought in two younger women who did the work. I did not get to know these workers. I prefer the bimonthly cleaning to be done by one person that I develop a trust in.

Cand A Cleaning always does an excellent job. They always show up on time when I call them. They clean floors, bathrooms, all surfaces and everthing I ask them. They have a great attitude and are in and out in just a few hours. They are the best cleaning service in town! My house is immaculate.

Connie and crew pay close attention to the details when cleaning my house. They are very friendly, kind to the animals, and often add special touches, like replacing the stove spill catchers.

Overall I would not recommend this company. The first two appointments I had with them, they cancelled. When they did come they did a good job. The next appointment they cancelled. The next appointment they told me they were at my door knocking and no one answered, (my husband stayed home that day because we were expecting them) They do good work, if they show up.

When Connie's carpet cleaning man picked up my 3 throw rugs to take to their warehouse to be cleaned, I asked him to have Connie give me a call because there were some things not finished. She called and came back with one worker to finish. I guess I was too picky because when I told her what I wanted, she said that she just wouldn't charge me. I asked her to not get defensive and to just finish what I asked. She decided to leave rather than finish the work.

They did a good cleaning. They did a really good job. If I have any problem, I can call them and they will come out to do the work. The owner is Connie. I would recommend her. She is just fabulous. She has a great work ethic. She is really funny. She came for Christmas and she brought me presents. She is wonderful. They do a fantastic job.

The owner came in with the two girls at the start. One girl went downstairs the other up and at times they worked together. When the downstairs was ready a man came and cleaned the carpet and steps. When she tried to do anything, they said "No" and had her go sit down somewhere. She said they worked like a whirlwind for four to five hours without a break. They are coming back to do last minute touch-up Thurs. for guests arriving Fri.

I was immediately comfortable with the owner--her professionalism shone through and she kept in good communication with me. The job performed was EXCELLENT! The owner came with four workers--all of them were professional and did an OUTSTANDING job! I was extremely pleased with their work and would highly recommend them to anyone.
