This was a hip style roof, so there wasn't a lot of room to maneuver. Job was done quickly and solved the problem which was created by Interior Weatherization 5 years earlier. (we did not own the house at the time, but Interior Weatherization insulated the attic as part of an energy program, and did not install baffles...they just filled the attic with blow in insulation, and covered up all of the venting. The attic then had all kinds of moisture problems with condensation deteriorating the plywood sheeting on the roof and dripping through the insulation and staining the ceiling in the house. The entire roof needed to be re-sheeted and shingled ($13,000), as well as correcting all of the venting issues.) Alaska Quality Insulators did a magnificent job, and they were quick. The other phase of the project was to insulate the 4" walls. Since it was winter when we were doing the rehab, and because the house already had vinyl siding on the outside, insulating the outside was not an option. We discussed with them the possibility of spray foaming the entire perimeter of the house from the inside. We gutted the house, had all the electrical replaced and inspected, then AQI came in and spray foamed the entire house! The spray part went fairly quickly. The shaving down part was a mess, but they finished when promised and the house turned out great. Best idea ever. I have used AQI on three other occasions, and have never been disappointed. They are always there when scheduled and they clean up the jobsite.

At no fault to the company, we had to delay getting the work done till September 2014. We look forward to working with them.

We needed additional insulation in the crawl space to meet energy rebate requirements. After getting estimates from several places, this company provided a competitive cost and what we considered to be the best solution for how to do the job. The guys were polite and considerate of our needs and property. They had to carry large R-19 encapsulated batts of insulation down a narrow hallway, get them thru the crawl space opening in a closet and then attach them along the walls. All of the batts were then taped together to form a solid wall of insulation. They also put additional batts around the perimeter on the ground of the crawl space floor. After this, they removed some insulation that was pushed around the rim joist and sprayed 3 inches of R-21 foam there. Then they covered the foam by replacing the removed insulation. A fan was placed in the crawl space to pull any fumes out and thru an exhaust duct out the bedroom window. This was left in place until the next day when they returned to pick it up. Because of their satisfactory work on this project, we decided to also have them do our attic insulation at a later date.
