Everyone at Remax was very professional. For a rental company they were the most honest and helpful. I wish I had never moved from Remax to Partners real estate. That was a mistake and I will never recommend Partners to anyone, ever.

Angie?s List Review This was the 3rd property management company we have ever worked with and it was one of the worst experiences that we and the tenants had to go through. Of course, Re/Max didn?t have any problem taking their $200 fee from the rent the first of every month but that was about the only thing they did consistently during the 2 year contract. We own our home in Anchorage and when the military transferred me to Virginia, we were very stressed about leaving our home in capable hands. What a mistake it was to go with Re/Max of Eagle River. First, no walk through or check-in form was used with the new tenants. The tenants finally had to send a word document complete with several pictures so that Re/Max would at least have a record of the pre-existing damages. When the tenants checked out, they were asked by Audrey (Re/Max) if they had the check-in form. The tenants then had to show her through their emails that Audrey didn?t do a check-in with them - Audrey?s reply was, ?Well, you should have completed one anyways and sent it to me?. Check-ins (including the form) should be 100% the property manager?s responsibilities. Lack of prompt response: Next, as we lived 5000 miles away and 4 hour time difference, most of our communication was via email. For 90% of every issue or question, it was normal to go 2-3 days between email responses - even when the issues required plumbing or repair work. Phone messages were usually returned in 1-2 days (or not al all at least two times). Terrible communication during emergencies: At one point when several pipes froze and bursted during the winter of 2012, it took almost 2 days just to get a hold of anyone from the office. No person was available in the office for emergency issues (like a pipe bursting in -20 degree weather). When the problem was finally fixed on Sunday (the heat went out on Friday), the repair bill was $3800 - mostly due to the overtime rate of the Re/Max ?contracted? plumber. This entire job was handled with nearly zero communication from Re/Max - we ended up talking directly to the tenants and plumber 4-5 times to find out what was going on, costs, etc. - nearly ZERO communication from Re/Max to us for the entire repair - aside from sending us a copy of the $3800 bill (after we asked for it and after we paid for it all over the phone via credit card). Rent payments to our bank account were late several times: The tenants had direct deposit through USAA Bank that sent the rent directly to Re/Max the first of every single month for the entire 2 year period. Deposits to us were told they would be a couple days after the first. Every payment received was made between the 5th and 10th even though we used a local bank and the money was in the Re/Max account the 1st of every month. Three times the deposit was delayed past the 10th (which was our bank?s deadline) causing us to get charged a late fee (which Re/Max never offered to cover even though it was due to there office). Because of these delayed payments, we ended up changing the payment date to the 14th. One incident the deposit was not even made by the 12th and after calling and emailing for 2 days, we were told by Audrey that the ?secretary forgot to deposit the rent check? - even though the ?rent check? was electronically deposited 12 days earlier... Removal of rent money without notification: Two times repairs were needed and the money was conveniently removed from our deposit amount without any notification or communication. Only after we emailed and called were we told about what the repairs were and why they were needed. Then we had to ask again for a copy of the repairs for our records. Because we were not notified, one of the deposits was not enough to cover our payment and again, we received a late fee and call from our bank. After that incident, we informed Re/Max in writing that under know circumstances will they take money out of our deposit without letting us know PRIOR to the deposit. Poor communication (again): At the end of the 2 year contract, I informed Re/Max via email and written correspondence that I did not intend to keep them after the contract ended and to inform me of the tenant?s decision to stay in the residence or move out. After hearing nothing from Re/Max for 4 weeks whether the tenants would stay or leave, I emailed Re/Max AGAIN asking about the tenant?s decision. The next day I received an email from the tenants saying they had bought a home and were moving out in three weeks. So, due to the late notice by Re/Max, I now had to schedule time off from work, buy a $700 plane ticket, $500 hotel, and $400 rental car and hurry up and find new tenants for my house. Never ONCE did I hear from Re/Max as to the tenant?s intention to vacate or stay even though that was part of the written contract. On the last day of the contract, I still had not heard anything from Re/Max as to when the final walkthrough was going to be done. Since I heard nothing from Re/Max, I emailed, texted, and called (left a message) on the last day to try and find out when this was going to be done. Re/Max finally returned my call and was willing to do the walkthrough the last day. In the end, all of the scheduling, and communication was initiated by me and had it not been from my initiative, I?m not really sure when or if Re/Max would have contacted me for the final walkthrough. Re/Max charged nearly $5000 for their ?property management? of our home over the 2 year period and FAILED at almost every level of service from communication, prompt service, informative actions, and consistent accounting and payment of funds. Myself and the tenants (who are also writing a negative review on Re/Max of Eagle River) will never recommend Re/Max of Eagle River as a property manager to anyone - EVER. Everything that was done by Re/Max as a property manager could have easily been done more efficiently and less stressful by myself 5000 miles away from my home than was done by Re/Max 10 miles away from my home.

The broker lost essential transaction paperwork and attempted to blame me. This broker is not to be trusted. I was told by my attorney that I had a great case against my own realtor, something I didn't pursue but lesson learned, I won't be utilizing this broker ever again.
