Amee met with me the day before to find out exactly what I wanted, and provide a rate. She explained how they work, during the day a 2 person team, while the house is empty, and that to achieve what I wanted- a good deep clean and get rid of dust/dog hair, it might take several passes to get everything. Dog hair and dust tends to get stirred up and then some settles back down. They use a vacuum, broom, mop provided by the resident. And bring their own cleaning product. My priorities were to a sparkling clean bathroom, vacuum/mop floors in all rooms, a few dirty spots on walls (compliments of my labs and their tails), dust living room and bedrooms really well, including ceiling fans, electronics, lamps in each room, window blinds, closet doors that are the blinds style. If there was time left, I asked for an attempt at some marks on the front door, which I had given up on myself, after several attempts to clean. And then if any time was left after that, maybe wipe down appliances in the kitchen. I elected to meet her to let her in the house. She sent me a text message, about 10:30 am, when she was on her way, I met her at the house. I put the dogs in our garage with a baby gate up. She greeted the dogs. (Amee also provides dog walking services.) I provided payment upon her arrival. Then she got to work immediately with her employee cleaning. Before I left the house I could already smell the wonderful scent of the cleaners. Very pleasant, and not at all like a chemical scent. She updated me with a text at 4:00 that they were still cleaning for a bit longer but would be finished by 4:45. I offered to come home and get the dogs, and pay an additional fee if needed. She declined and said no need for additional fee, her estimate on time required was just a bit low. She locked the door on her way out. I came home to a house that smelled fantastic and looked wonderful. They did a great job at hitting my priorities. The electronics in our living room have never looked so good. The bathroom smelled the best. I wanted to just hang out and breathe the light, pretty smell. Even though kitchen appliances were last on my list, they got the stove top really well- all the burners, and underneath, inside and out of our large convection toaster oven, and wiped down the counters/other appliances. Those marks on my front door where I gave up- gone! Front door looks ten times better. All the marks on the walls are gone. It was amazing to come home and just revel in a sparkling house I didn't have to clean. She also gave me some great tips for dealing with allergies, and dogs, and some product recommendations specific to our home. I've already tried 2 of them, and love them.
