The Fence Guy

I cannot comment on their fence work. However, My neighbor hired them to put in his fence, and they hit my internet line. No one was told or informed until I discovered it and the internet company ruled it as that. Now, 2 months later I still have no internet, and the IT company and fence company both refuse to take any responsibility. They claim the IT company didn't locate it, IT claims they should have reported it, both expect me or as each says "Someone to pay" for it (also means me since I'm the only person who seems to need it fixed) before it'll get fixed. It isn't even my fence. I am a completely separate innocent individual in all this, and I am the only person negatively effected by this. Not only have I had to cancel my service now, but I am having to switch to the only other internet provider in my area which is going to cost me twice as much a month. So, in short, their fences might be fine, but they may screw over your neighbors and then do not f all to rectify it. So you'll definitely need that fence to hide behind now that your relationships with your neighbors has been hit.

The Fence Guy did a great job. They removed all the old fence; reset posts, which had broken in a windstorm; replaced the back fence line. The Fence Guy was great to work with. Very professional, did good work, in reasonable amount of time. After calling around for nearly a month, The Fence Guy is the only company that actually came out to look at my problem (others on here with A ratings - no call backs). I would recommend the Fence Guy to anyone needing a new fence or a fence repaired.

Smoothly. Each time he told us to expect him, he was there. Very professional.

He came out before I even expected him and put in the fence poles. Then a couple of days later he completed the job on budget and under the time allotted for it. He knows what he is doing and has all of the right equipment and did a fantastic job. He also helped with our gates and no additional price.

Excellent. I received the quote in about 3 days. Work started about a week after I accepted the quote. Posts were set in one morning, then left to cure for about three days. The remainder of the fence was completed in less than a day. The owner worked with me and did a great job. Quality is far superior to a fence the neighbors had installed about the same time. The Fence Guy used 4 horizontal framing members to attach the vertical fencing, instead of the typical 2 boards. The fence Guy had a truck that appeared custom made to carry all the materials and equipment needed. No one had to leave to gather materials during the job. Excellent Quality and Good Price. I had a quote for about 20% less for a fence like my neighbor had installed. I got the better deal.

The services Arnold and his team provided exceeded our expectations. My boyfriend and I decided last minute that we would like to install a fence before it snowed. Arnold fit us into his schedule and ensured that he would get it done before the season ended even in the mix of his personal schedule. The fence is absolutely gorgeous and exactly what we wanted and more. He got it done within a few days and the quality of work he and his team provided was exceptional. We wanted a dog run for our dogs and Arnold went above and beyond by designing an enclosed fence area on our porch that we can open and close to let the dogs out. I received numerous quotes around town and Arnold's pricing is very fair and competitive. In my opinion you also get more quality for your dollar. I would definitely use him again and would refer him to others.

It wasn't a major job. He was very reasonable and did a good job. He did very good work.

I called the contractor to get an estimate for a fence I wanted build. He said he would be out the next night to provide an estimate. He never showed. He never called, even though I provided my contact number. I called him a few days later, but he never returned my call. If you can't/won't do something, just say so.

When I called for an estimate, Arnold said he was going out of town but he would come by as soon as he returned and he did. He was excellent to work with and provides service in an acceptable time frame...... no waiting for weeks/months and no need to call for follow up! I would definitely recommend him to my friends - in fact I have and they have an appt scheduled with him for a fence installation this month.

Arnold was fantastic! When I called he returned my call quickly and he was out of state at the time. He gave me the date he would return to Alaska and called the day he got back. He came out the next day and gave an estimate. Work on the fence began within a few days. Arnold's crew was very polite and professional. The fence is beautiful! While they were working on the fence my mower ran out of gas. Arnold offered to fill it for me with his own gas! I can't say enough good things about him. The fence is perfect and considering the size, his price was very good. I highly recommend Arnold and his company.

I'm so sorry for not writing this review last summer immediately after the fence was built--I forgot! The Fence Guy does a great job. He responded almost immediately to our inquiry, gave us an estimate the same day and made helpful suggestions as we tried to explain what we wanted. There was another company that we also liked but the Fence Guy's bid was too good to pass up. The crew came in a week or so later to set the posts and a few days later the fence went in. It only took the crew a day and it was even better than we'd hoped for. It has added so much value and needed privacy to our yard. The crew cleaned up, took care around our yard and left nothing for us to deal with. Love the Fence Guy! (The date of service is approximate. I don't remember and I'm too lazy to go look it up!)

It went great! I can't believe we tracked him down this late in his busiest season. He promptly returned my message, arrived at our house to give us an estimate, and a few weeks later he put up our fence. Was a pretty painless process. Arnold is a super nice guy and hard worker. I would HIGHLY recommend him for your fencing needs.

I called Arnold and we discussed the project. He provided an estimate, sight unseen and said he could perform the work in one day. He stated he has been putting in fences for 33 years. Originally Arnold was going to call for a utility locate on August 26th. After a week and half of not seeing the results of the locate, I called to get an update. I had the perception I was lost in all of his other jobs. He then told me he hadn't forgotten about me and would call next week. He called the morning of Sept 9th and said he could fit me in between jobs, but had to set the posts today. I explained my work schedule and my wife had an appointment in Anchorage, so no one would be home to describe where the fence needed to be and other concerns. In addition, I have dogs and do not want anyone in my yard without my or my wife's supervision. Arnold did not understand this concept and continued to and quot;explainand quot; how the posts had to be put in today as he had another project. My wife had to cancel her appointment to make sure one of us were at the house, which was a good thing. When he and his helper showed up, my wife showed them both gates to get to the back yard where the work was to be done. They opted to use the wider of the two gates to get there skid steer into the yard. Before my wife could retrieve the key to unlock the gate, they were already removing the bolts from the gate. I guess they thought my gate wouldn't open, but it would have been nice if they would have waited for the gate to be unlocked and ask us if we had any problems opening the gate. Not happy about the lack of communication so far, I called Arnold to find out what day and time he would be back out to complete the fence, so I could ensure my wife or myself were home. He said that we didn't need to be home as he has been putting in fence for 33 years. I had to get firm with him and explain that no one will set foot in the yard without my wife or myself present. He finally agreed and provided a time frame. They came back 2 days later to complete the job. One of the gates would open completely one way, but would not open in the other direction. When my wife asked them to ensure the gate opened in both directions. They fixed the gate so it would open completely in one direction and about 2 feet in the other direction. I had to fix the gate, which took 5 minutes and a wrench.

It didn't go. My husband left a message explaining the project and requesting an estimate and, when we hadn't gotten a response after 3 weeks, I called again to request an estimate and was told that he was going on a hunting trip, that I could call him back in two weeks if I hadn't found anyone else to do the work and maybe he could give me an estimate. I was so unimpressed with this contractors professionalism that I haven't bothered to contact him again nor do I plan to in the future.

Great customer service and price. His quote came in 30% less then the competitors. The guys were professional, hard working, and now one year post install, I have found NO problems. I would highly recommend!

VERY good company. Arnold and his personnel provided a reasonable price for a 6-foot wooden privacy fence for our back yard. Since our house was just built, we had several projects going on: landscaping, rain gutters, exterior painting, hydro-seeding, etc. He was great about working with us to get his work done in conjunction with all the sub-contractors doing the other work. They showed up when promised, worked efficiently, and cleaned up after themselves. Very personable, very friendly, very polite. Would definitely hire them again for future projects.
