Scooper Trooper LLC

I've tried Scooper Trooper three separate times since moving to Anchorage, including for the last six months. Over that time, it was rare to have a completely satisfactory service visit. Things were almost always missed, but this past spring and summer were busy enough that I needed something. Something is typically better than nothing. However, over the last couple of months, I've had to call to complain about one employee in particular three times. Because of a couple of factors, one has to walk through our building to access the back yard. In addition to carrying open containers of dog feces through my apartment building, he often didn't bother changing or removing his shoes before walking through the building to depart. (All captured on security video.) After his most recent—and final—visit to my property, I had to spend time scrubbing feces out of the carpet in the common area. As soon as I finished that task, I called the office and fired the company. Either they can't get good employees, can't keep good employees, don't correct their employees, or some combination of the three. Even if I hadn't had to scrub feces out of my carpet, having to make a third call to complain about the same employee doing the same thing will absolutely result in a firing. No one can claim I didn't give them a fair shot. I cannot in good conscience recommend Scooper Trooper.

have used for the past few years, they do a good job. They come a few hours before our lawn service comes and are nice enough coordinate with them.

I have used Scooper Trooper for several years now to pick up my dogs' poop. They always do an excellent job and are very pleasant to deal with. Their prices are quite reasonable.

I call him the poop guy. The cost is monthly. They come every week. I have recommended them to other people.

I have been using them 9 years. It's just the pug now so it isn't so bad. It's when we had the two big dogs and that was so much. I will never have that many dogs again.

They are very happy with the service provided and with the providers of the service.

They sent a lady and she was vary fast and did a great job. The price was good for this one time cleaning.

Initially they were great and responsive but the started going down. I would not use them again.

I absolutely love this service. They are always on time and I know just when to expect them. Always very friendly and professional. I've been using this service for approximately 7 years now. I am completely spoiled and never want to start doing this myself again - it is so worth the money. I use their service year round which means no more and quot;poop soupand quot; in the spring. I schedule my lawn service for the day after they arrive and have been doing so for years. It works out great for me.

When they eventually show up, they do the task to par. The trouble is relying on them to show up the day they are supposed to. Kind of worth it during the winter, not even close to being worth it during the summer.

Over time is considered for anything over 20 minutes in your yard. I opted out of over time because I have a large backyard, however I would expect that I at least get my 20 minutes that I pay the flat rate for. On a couple seperate occassions we were home when the Trooper stopped by and he spent less than 10 minutes on each occassion. It'd be one thing if all the waste from 3 giant dogs was picked up, but there were piles in my southeast and southwest corners that went untouched. It's not a bad service if you have one dog; back when I only had one dog (and got charged over time for a yard that was a fourth of the size of the one I have now), everything always got cleaned up. I've only had to call once about a Trooper claiming to have cleaned the yard when they didn't, and the company fixed that up right away. And they're very prompt in crediting snow-days and such. However, the competition in town seems to have a flat rate (same base price/dog as Scooper Troopers), no over time fees, and from what I've heard do a bang-up job.

They show up and do a pretty thorough job. Occasional trinket left behind, which is not fun to find with a lawnmower. This, however, is the exception, not the norm

I agree wholeheartedly with the comment regarding abuse of and quot;overtimeand quot;. Come to find out, the company allots 10 minutes per yard, and even when it doesn't take them 10 minutes, we incurred overtime. I don't know how they computed that, but I believe this is their way of making up for money lost due to their decision to use Groupon! Even when I asked the provided to NOT try to dig waste out of the snow and get it next time after the melt, they continued and then billed me extra! I won't be using in the future, when the billing is not clearly set out ahead of time and is non-negotiable or controllable.

One of my friends recommended these folks and I have to say that I absolutely loved their service! So convenient to not have to deal with all the 'crap' myself:) Me and my neighbor used them for a few years and they always did a great job. And if the worker ever missed a pile they send them right back out to fix it. Gotta say that their customer service is excellent and the guy in the office (I think John was his name?) was always really friendly and helpful. I very much appreciated the fact that our yard wasn't the usual 'nightmare' in the spring, since they kept up the service all winter long. And, unlike other services in town, they don't charge you for weeks in the winter when they can't come out due to fresh snow covering everything up. I didn't mind paying a little bit extra in the spring to pick up that left-over waste from the skipped weeks in the winter. It seems that most companies in town cost about the same amount per week (plus/minus a couple of bucks). Ended up choosing this company since they don't make you sign any long-term contracts for service, but simply allow you to hold or discontinue the service whenever you need or want to. We don't have any dogs anymore, but if we get a new one in the future I will definitely use these guys again!

If you allow them overtime, they'll abuse it, if you don't allow OT then your yard doesn't get completely clean. I had a 10x10 yard and I would still get charged overtime. When I moved to a bigger yard I was terrified of what the bill would be, so I went to a service that advertised and quot;no overtime, everand quot; and it was the same weekly rate.

I have used this service weekly for two years and have been very, very pleased. What I like best is they scoop all winter and so by spring there is no extra dog poop to clean up.

I think the service is great and if you don't have the time to get out there and do it yourself, this is a great solution for the price.

Amazing customer service, they do a great job and make life easier. This truly is a luxury service. The price is great.

Every Friday they come out and clean up the waste from our beagle and place it in a bag and then into our garbage can...simple as that. They never fail.

The cleanings were excellent, they showed up each week just before trash day to clean the yard. Cleanings did not interfere with my schedule at all, as you don't even have to be home for the service to take place. The field worker was generally the same gentleman each week, who was extremely courteous. And if the dogs happened to be outside, he took extra steps to make sure the dogs were happy and couldn't escape.

I stopped using them, because I wasn't happy with their service. There would be days that they said they wouldn't come and said they'd came. Other days, they'll come for only a little bit, and I wasn't satisfied at all.
