This was one of the most miserable experiences of my life, during an already traumatic time, and I highly recommend you looking elsewhere before even considering this company. - I was a local move and you'd think the logistics of a local endeavor would be way simpler than anything long distance, so I feel for those who have had to move any length with them. The company claims to offer a in person estimate on your move, but have no problem with you sending pictures. BEWARE!!! I was quoted one price but the price wound up being almost triple the original quote, and they could not produce evidence of how they got to either quote. - I reached out to company management after their team collected my belongings from my home because I was appalled at the behavior of their team. I was told numerous times that they were hourly employees and therefore they had no intentions of doing my work quickly, despite my time crunch. I was selling my home and my realtor encountered the team while they were there a specifically asked for their information so she knew who to NOT RECCOMEND to her clients in the future, as their unprofessional behavior was so blatant. - When I tried to discuss with management my concerns, I was constantly talked over and down to as if I didn't know what I was talking about. I tried to mention that I was being treated differently because I was a single woman, and it was as if I was being reprimanded for the thoughts I was sharing. I discussed the overpriced invoice I had received and after requesting that the company pull the GPS for their trucks, discovered that I had been grossly overcharged for time that their team was doing nothing. I HAD high hopes as the manager agreed to discuss with his team my concerns and they agreed to charge me no more than what I had been charged. - I waited until two weeks after my delivery to post this review as I wanted to convey only information and not emotion pertaining to the moving of my belongings , as the DELIVERY EXPERIENCE was even MORE DISCUSSTING than the pickup. - I was first disappointed to have the same lead individual Dominique ("D") running my delivery, as he was the same one I informed them about previously about being inappropriate. I will continue to reiterate that this individual is not professional in his dealing with clients and even less professional with his team. - Just like last time, "D" informed me that they were hourly employees and therefore had no intention of rushing this job. I appreciate doing something well and taking your time, but to continue to reiterate he is taking his time to be paid more is unsettling, especially like before I was charged by the hour and he intended to extend those hours as much as possible. By 5 PM and them "working" all day, very little had been actually moved into the house and instead crammed in my garage. I was so frustrated with them by 5 PM, I requested them to just leave and my boyfriend (who later arrived) and I would handle putting my own furniture back together and would move things into my house without their assistance. - "D" continued to let me know that he and his boss Brad are great buddies and he basically lets him do whatever he likes. All he has to do is ask and Brad responds with "yes". It was as if he was implying and intimidating me that he knew I had mentioned his unprofessional behavior before, and yet due to their personal friendship, he could act however he wanted without repercussions. - "D" was constantly on his phone while trying to move my belongings, dragging mattresses and other items across walls and banisters, leaving black marks and dirt as well as marking up my belongings. - "D" was extremely rude and belligerent with the team. I understand giving direction and being authoritative, however his condescending and argumentative attitude with his team, caused friction between them all. There was arguing and fighting over how things should be done, to the point it slowed down their operation as well as ticked off his men to the point they were cursing and stomping through my home. - While they may not want to believe it, the behavior of thier men in a respectable workplace would be fireable offences as sexual harassment. These men were extremely inappropriate with me as I was the only person in the home for the first half of the move. Every time they would walk by me (while I was working from home) they would stop and flirt...asking questions about my age, trying to determine my hobbies, what kind of men I like, and trying to find any connection that we had something in common. Not only were they making me uncomfortable, but they stopped to talk to me after every pass, majorly delaying the process. They constantly told me no matter my age, how beautiful I looked and how I didn't look my age. Only when my boyfriend showed up around 2 PM did the behavior wane, but never completely stopped. My boyfriend was extremely frustrated himself when he arrived, especially since I was a solo woman in the house with these three men, as he witnessed their behavior. - The team doesn't wear gloves or take any precaution to avoid spreading warehouse dirt from my belongings or spreading across my house via their hands. They did thankfully put down plastic for high trafficked areas, but for some reason it took two men to do so? - I may have signed the paperwork at the "end" of the delivery, however it was under intimidation and I just wanted them to leave my safe space. I signed off that I received everything, but I couldn't be certain I did, since I just had them leave everything in the garage. And I think it extremely inappropriate to have me complete a survey right in front of them at the "end" of the delivery. I was already intimidated by this entire experience and therefore to have me fill out a survey with "D" staring right at me, I can assure you I gave them better scores than I would have had the survey been emailed to me (like most other companies). - Now that I have had time to sort through the mess left in my garage, I have found that major pieces of furniture among odds and ends were never delivered. Of course I signed the paperwork so would have no claim to these items. I hadn't planned on leaving a review since I was refunded monies after sending a very similar email back to Brad as above, but as I continue to find things MISSING and BROKEN, I must reiterate BEWARE of this unprofessional company and protect your belongings and your female friends and loved ones from being taken advantage of.

I was working with Royal Alaskan Movers to get quotes to move to teh southern US but all quotes were vague and lacked detail. I called a couple of times to verify what was included in crating etc. and how the insurance worked and was told several things on the phone so asked to please include that in their email to clearly state what was being done and included because I did not want huge surprise charges later. Once I asked for it in writing they ghosted me and would not return any more calls or email. HUGE RED FLAG!

They couldn't wait to get out of there. It was the crew chief that wanted to leave earlier that day. The last movers I had taken a good look at the place prior to doing the move. I was not doing real great physically and had a lot of stuff to move later on. I wish I would have been more persistent with them and let them leave before everything that was staged on the front deck was moved where it needed to be. My driveway was not in good shape at that point and just pick- up trucks would have been the best thing ( like the last movers used). I would have physically looked at the job first, and not just on Google maps. If the driveway was going to be a problem for them, which it was, it would have been flushed out prior to the move. They probably would have used pick-up trucks after seeing the work. The crew boss would not have been as interested into " moving on" quicker and would have allowed the other guys to do the work that was needed. I would, should have insisted on it.

Our customer was very happy with the results of her move. She loved the delivery team and was happy with transit times. I will definitely be using them again in Alaska for the next move we have go there.
Description of Work: Royal Alaskan Movers scheduled the pick up of our container in Los Angeles, CA and moved it to Anchorage, AK for us.

Many boxes mislabeled. Some boxes with no labels. Not that many broken items but the ones that were broken, were poorly packed. Some missing items possibly the result of the repack in the lower 48. the guy that delivered the items said that who ever packed and labled boxes didn't do a good job. When I asked movers to place 2 bed mattresses and a dresser in my garage for my daughter to pick up later, the whining started.comments like how much more do we get for this were made.It took them all of 4-5 minutes to put them in the garage.Plus I gave them a gas bbq grill .
Description of Work: very pleasant in the beginning. Estimated weight very well. Reasonable price. Started off packing with a lot of energy then faded.Pretty good at working the clock.
