I purchased a 60? TV, a Sanus full-motion wall mount, and the installation. Rocket Satellite contracted with Sears and was responsible for the installation scheduled on Dec. 10, 2012. The person who did the installation was very unpleasant acting and unprofessional, even within the first few minutes of arriving in my apartment. Two friends that were visiting were also being treated in a very callous manner. His behavior was such that I wanted to ask him to leave within minutes of his arrival. While installing the TV, he pounded on the wall to find where the studs were, and even though I asked him if he wanted to use my stud finder, he refused, and proceeded to use his knocking to find where the studs were located. He put the mount screws into the left stud, but missed the second stud by approximately ¼?. He used Toggle Screws or Anchors in the drywall to hold the full-motion mount on one side.. During the installation, he slammed the television down on the floor, without any regard for potential damage to the item and was bumping it into things. He even threw the empty box on top of the screen as hard as he could without the screen being protected in any way. Even though we had demonstrated to him the height at which we wanted the TV mounted, he mounted the TV much higher than where we asked himto place it. In a few days, whenever we changed the TV?s direction, the wall area where the mount was not in the stud, would creak. The TV started to continually hang down on one side. I had a Sears Repair person investigate the installation of the TV, and to check out the possibility of damage to the TV, and was informed that the toggle on the top right was pulling loose, which was why it was hanging on one side.The Sanus Full-Motion Mount instructions, as well as four other companies who install TVs, informed me that he should not have used Toggle Screws due not only to the weight, but because they are full motion. My drywall is not the thick drywall, and I was worried that the TV was not held up well on the wall. My apartment manager does not feel that toggle screws should be used, and when used, we have to pay for the wall to be repaired. At no time did the Rocket Satellite installer ask my permission to use them on my apartment house wall. Sears handled the problem in a very professional manner, although since he was the only installer they had, they offered to have him uninstall the mount and would refund my money for the intallation. However, due to liablility or damage to the TV, I decided to continue with Rocket Satelite. When he arrived to re-mount the full-motion wall mount into the wall-studs, he was again quite unconcerned about the potential of damaging the television and banged it around. While here, he informed me that my wall had started to ?bow?. This time he did mount it in the second stud. This removal has left me with the large holes in my walls from the 2 toggles that were used. When he left, he also took all the extra nuts, bolts, and screws that were have part of the full-motion mount. I had purchased the mount from Sears and had it available for when he came to do the installation.He also took all the boxes for the TV and the wall mount, leaving me with no type of container if needed. He also was asked to re-mount the TV higher than he did, but this time mounted the TV too low, even though he was shown where to put the TV.
