 + -1 moreI have a builder-installed Steel-Craft garage door that is an ambitiously wide 18' two car door. After about a year two of the hinges had cracked and the door would not open. I called Ram as the local authorized dealer and discussed the issue with them. While they had exactly the parts I needed and would have gladly scheduled an appointment to do the repair, they also suggested it was something easy and that I could do it on my own. I was able to purchase sturdier hinges and do the replacement on my own. Very friendly and very helpful.
Description of Work: Phone consultation about garage door hinges resulted in me purchasing replacement hinges from Ram and installing them myself.

 + -1 moreI wasn't too impressed with the work done for me by RAM services. He was not able to put insulation around the bottom of my doors because he said the concrete wasn't level. He didn't come up with any suggestions with how to fix it or seem interested in doing so himself. We reduced the amount he quoted me and he went on his way and I went on mine.
Description of Work: He put some insulation around the outside of my doors.

 + -1 moreSmooth and trouble free! They showed up on time, were professional, costs were just as proposed. I would call them again for sure but I'll bet I don't need another garage door for a long time!

 + -1 moreJob was performed on time and budget. The quality of the door is excellent and iInstallation was very good regarding fitting of door/seal and opener. However, installer twisted control wiring very tightly and pulled them such that no further adjustment is possible - long story short, the wiring portion of the job could have been much better. While the door and opener were delivered on time, we had to follow up after the job to get the back up battery and extra openers quoted with our estimate.
Description of Work: Installed Thermocraft garage door and Liftmaster Door Opener.

 + -1 moreBoth times they came to the house, they were very personable, professional, and prompt.
Description of Work: I rent a home in Anchorage and couldn't seem to get any help getting some garage door openers from the rental company. They suggested I call the company that had serviced the house before and get them to bring some out and program them and they would reimburse me. I called and they came out the next day and I had my garage door openers. There was some damage to the garage door frame and they told me what needed to be done, so I mentioned it to the rental company when I went to pay my rent. They called RAM and before I could get home that day, RAM called and had me on the schedule for the next business day. They called before they came to the house, and asked if they could come EARLY!! They finished the work and sent the rental company the bill. :-) .
