I am pleased that the quality of our workmanship met your expectations. I am perplexed with regard to the "C" grade that we were given for price. We provided our initial cost proposal over 8 months before the actual work was performed, and we even had our supplier extend the courtesy of waiving a second material price increase that was in effect when the Member decided to move forward with the work. The choice to have our company perform work, for the fully disclosed cost, is always the customer's decision. I do believe that it warrants mentioning that our specific work, roofing, is rated as the 6th most dangerous job. Accordingly, our industry pays some of the highest insurance and wage rates. Asked three other providers to bid on reroof. Received two other bids, one other did not respond timely and that provider was highly rated on Angie's List. I think some highly rated providers get booked up quickly. Premier's bid was responsive, competitive and complete. Provider chosen based on comfort level after meeting and Angie List rating. Provider showed up on appointed date set 6 weeks in advance and completed project on time and on budget. Crew worked hard, were courteous to us and our neighbors, protected non roof areas as agreed. I rarely have a large project go so smoothly on a 35 year old home. Premier was a welcome exception. Even when a skylight replacement was incomplete due to a defect discovered on installation, it was promptly replaced. If you want a reroof done right and don't want to worry about whether you have made the right choice go with Premier.

Very professional, very good price option. Only went with another roofer after they offered a more attentive estimate that met the needs of the house more. I would certainly consider using them in the future, based on the contact that was made.

On time. Owner here all the time, and working alongside. Half day to strip and most of a day to lay down the new roof. Cleaned the debris thoroughly, Protected what needed to be protected. No damage. Put in roof peak vent (which hadn't been installed previously, put drip rail everywhere which hadn't been installed originally. Choice of shingle quality and price with honest information on the differences and no pressure as to price. We bought and quot;Alaskanand quot; grade shingles. Dan Jones (the owner) was on the job each day and worked alongside the crew. Tracy Jones is a joy to talk to in the office, and can answer any question pertaining to rooves/roofs. She cannot answer and quot;What is the meaning of Life?and quot; But shingle weights and how many squares she knows. It has been a year and we are still happy with outcome. Premier Roofing (the Jones) are highly recommended by us.

Description of Work: I found Premier roofing on Angies List and thought i'd get a price quote on a new roof. The price quote was around the same price as all the other quotes but slightly cheaper. Tracy and the Roofers at premier were awesome. I was deployed and I was able to coordinate my much needed roof replacement by e-mail. Tracy was always very quick with e-mail responses to my questions and was able to keep me informed on the status of my roof the whole time. I never waited more than a few hours for an e-mail response during the whole process. Initially I was set up for Sept install, but they were able to get my roof done earlier because of a delay in a commercial project. My spouse was extremely happy because they installers were professional and worked very efficiently to get my install done in a few days. premier roofing also came back and reinstalled all my gutters with new gutter screws after the hard winter last year beat my gutters up pretty bad. I would highly recommend these folks for your roofing needs, and would even ask any future customers to be patient if premier is booked out, and go with this company over another. The price and customer service was second to none in my case. Thanks Premier!

We were extremely pleased with the service that Premier provided when getting a new roof on my 1978 home. They were very prompt submitting an appraisal and we found it to be a little bit under the other bids we received. The scheduled start date was postponed for a week due to the bad wind storm Anchorage got in the middle of September. It was completely expected that they would not be able to start as planned because of this. Tracy called to let us know the new date and they were right on time. The work was completed and the work area was cleaned up and the end of each day. We were most impressed with the level of response from the office when we contacted them with questions. Tracy got back with us, even on the weekends. Thank you Premier for a very professional job. Laurie and Gordon Siemens

Dan and the rest of the team at Premier are probably the most professional contractors of any sort we have ever hired to do any job. Honest, hard working, attention to details and excellent craftsmanship. This was an outstanding job and we are very proud of the roof on the house. His crew was well mannered and very neat. They cleaned up the job site before leaving each evening and in fact used a powerful magnet to collect any stray nails/staples from our property when they were finished. For replacing a roof it is our opinion that you can do no better. It's too bad Premier is limited to roofing - I'd happily hire them to do other work if they offered!
Description of Work: Premier Roofing provided a detailed professional estimate to repair/replace wind damage to our roof and sky light and replace damaged roof panels and siding trim. Our roof was replaced in entirety with a lifetime Malarky brand asphalt three tab shingle, new water shield, replaced rotted roofing panels and trim, and replaced a thermal pane skylight. Premier also installed metal drip guard around the entire perimeter of the roof.

Company is booked 10 weeks out till the end of October. Selling the property had a inspection and need a repair before closing. Condition of the sale... There was no real interest since it was NOT a big $$$ job and was blown off. Disappointed, the fact is I own several other properties and this was an opportunity to establish a working relationship and additional work for the future...

I am taken aback by this member's comments. Member left a message when our office was closed, over the weekend, and his call was promptly returned on Monday morning. Member stated that he needed a repair on a metal roof quickly for a real estate sale, I advised the member that we currently were not accepting new estimates for repairs of this nature due to our work schedule; further explaining that we were currently booked beyond our cut-off date for metal roof repairs (i.e., we do not perform metal roof repairs when the potential exists for frost, snow, or ice to be present on the metal roof surface, which poses safety issues for our employees). Member states that there was no interest because it was not a "big $$$" job, that quite simply is false, no cost or extent of work was determined; we perform an equal amount of small repairs and large projects throughout the year. It is unequivocally not true that this member was "blown off", his call was promptly returned, and he was honestly told that due to our work schedule we were only accepting new estimates for shingle roof repairs and replacements. In fact, the member stated that he had left messages with 5 companies and he had not received a response; so, I am confused as to how our prompt response to his message and the ensuing conversation would be deemed to be "blown off". The member was provided the names of 2 companies that we refer to when our workload does not allow us to assist a customer. The member's D rating and negative comments are unwarranted, and quite likely born of his frustration in finding a contractor, at the busiest time of year, to perform a rapid repair to allow him to sell his property. Obviously, get an estimate first. If the price is fair and they can fit you into their schedule (and if my experience is typical), you'll be happy with this company.
Description of Work: I got a couple estimates for a new roof for my rental property, and went with Premier because the price was better than the other company and I was impressed with Premier's quick and complete responses, and their detailed estimate. They just seemed to have their act together. Premier did not disappoint. Though the price was a bit higher than I expected to pay for a one-facet roof (a zero lot-line), they fit me into their schedule (luck was a factor I think), told me when they'd do the job, completed the work when they said they would, and cleaned up the area very well. And they were very professional and easy to work with. You might find cheaper, but it seems they did a good, complete job with no surprises. Didn't try to sell me unnecessary stuff. If a leak develops in the short term I'll update my review, but it looks great and I see no "cut corners". I recommend this company.

This company provided me an estimate and when requested provided the services in a timely and professional manner. Their estimate was good and the extra work was done at a reasonable rate that had been explained before they started the job. It was a very good experience and I would hire this company again if necessary.
Description of Work: They replaced two flat roofs on my garages with slanted roofs. They found some problems with the wood under the roofs and replaced the necessary pieces.

Tracy, the owner's wife, provided everything I needed for the contract, and discussed each part in detail for me. After signing the contract, they actually were able to move me up on their schedule, and completed the roofing job for my home ahead of schedule. The job was done when I returned to Alaska.
Description of Work: Premier Roofing is a family business. The owner is on site with the crew the whole time. I was very pleased with the professional job they did for me. From the beginning they helped with selection of the appropriate shingles for Alaska, guidance in choosing shingle color and other options. I was provided with license and insurance information without even asking for it. At completion of the job all warrenty information was provided to me completely filled out. Tracy, the owner's wife, patiently answered all my questions, and made all arrangements for my roof project. Note: I was out of state when the work was done. Premier Roofing did everything from start to finish. I was very pleased with the new roof when I returned to the completed project.

Charged $495 dollars for less than an hour of work
Description of Work: Asked to replace four end cap vent covers on roof and broken shingle replacement , roofer replaced three vent covers and replaced two shingles. No explaination on where previous winter leak may have come from. Company delayed work for two days after making commitment.

28-June-2011 As our company just registered on Angie's List this date this is the first opportunity that I became of, or read this report. Our company was contacted by the homeowner on 12-August-2010 to request an estimate to repair wind damage on his roof, and to try to determine the source of leakage that occurred over the front door during winter break-up. A detailed written proposal to repair the wind damage was submitted on 16-August-2010, outlining the scope of work (remove & replace damaged aluminum ridge vent and replace missing shingles) and the total $495 cost to perform the repairs. The homeowner was advised that the estimator's experience with his particular style of home suggested that the winter leakage over the front door was occurring as a result of condensation from the dormer above the leak area. Additionally, the homeowner was advised that it would be more cost effective to address the infrequent dormer condensation issue at such time when the roof was ready for replacement in the next few years. The homeowner was even provided a bid for roof replacement to use for future budgeting of this work. I am perplexed with regard to Member's dissatisfaction with the price of the work; our written proposal clearly stated the total cost of the work. The estimates that we provide are free of charge, and Member was under no obligation whatsoever to have this work performed. We do not ever call our customers after we submit our proposals to either inquire about our bid status or to pressure for approval, instead we allow our customers the freedom to make an informed decision, and then contact us if they choose to have our company perform work on their behalf. Member did approve the work in accordance with our proposal and requested that the work be performed sometime after 01-September-2010 since he would be out of town. Our work schedule was delayed by a couple of days due to several consecutive days of rain; however, our customers are fully informed when they approve work that our schedule is contingent upon weather delays beyond our control. The work was completed on 07-September-2010. As an aside, Member stated that the work was less than 1 hour, which is simply not accurate. Our employees' time starts when they leave the office, and includes pick-up of the required material, travel to the jobsite, performance of the work, and ends when they return to the office from the jobsite. I am disheartened that Member was apparently not 100% satisfied with our services, and I am equally dismayed that this report I happened upon today was the only expression of his discontent.
