Kurt did an excellent job! Single handed AND in very frigid temperatures. He also noticed that the front door that was installed last year (?) was not sealing properly and performed the necessary adjustment. That's what I call GOOD SERVICE! I live on a very busy corner in Pioneer Meadows subdivision which will be the main entrance\exit when the Glen Hwy expands to 4 lanes. My house is virtually soundproof now!

From day one, we were so impressed with the skill the crew displayed as they proceeded with the large project of replacing all windows and doors in our house. It was a big commitment on our part to decide to do everything at once, and we were nervous about getting everything done in a timely manner, but more importantly getting it done correctly. The results were better than we expected. The new windows are beautiful, and the doors are exponentially superior to the old ones. We are excited the see the results in lower energy costs as winter approaches. The entire staff at Neighbors Windows and Doors treated us so well, from the time they came promptly for the estimate, to the final touches on the last day. I would highly recommend this company to anyone with a project similar to ours, or even a larger or smaller one. The owners, Steve and Dayna, are fantastic people to work with, and have obviously hired the most qualified staff to ensure their business will continue to grow, and will be receiving outstanding results from their customers.

The builders of our house installed the cheapest windows on the market. Over times some of the sliders broke, seals broke, and we decided it was time for an upgrade. We had half our windows done one year, and the other half the next. Neighbor's Windows and Doors had amazing customer service. They came out almost immediately to give an estimate, educated us on the options that we had. A quote was sent in a timely manner, and windows were ordered. We chose to have them installed during the winter, when the crew was very good about setting up their "area" in the house as far as putting up plastic so that our house would not freeze while our windows were missing. They were very neat, professional, and did an excellent job with the molding/ trim on the inside of the house. We love our new windows and would recommend this company to anyone.

Went great. Beautiful professional job, high quality work. Went at a good pace. Cleaned up job site nicely. Excellent response to problems with door shifting in frame etc. windows are very high quality, warm and quiet.

They provided a reasonable estimate after providing a couple of solutions. Their install crew battled yellow jackets to get the old window out. Extremely satisfied with the entire process.

Garry arrived on time for the initial measurements and again for the add-ons. The installation crew did a fabulous job - everything was exactly as I expected. They kept me informed of progress and went above and beyond in their removal of debris and clean-up when the job was complete.

It went very well. The provider was on time and all of the doors and windows were installed quickly. The quality of the window and install was excellent.

My husband and I got quotes from several window companies and ultimately decided to go with Neighbors Windows and Doors. Steve was very professional and patient with us as we had him quote several varying options over a couple months period of time. We were looking for a high quality product in a reasonable price range and weren't sure if we should go with a vinyl window, a composite window or replace with similar in kind of the existing windows which were wood. Windows are a big purchase and we wanted to make sure we were choosing a good quality product that we were going to be happy with for many years to come. Neighbors is not a high pressure sales operations and allowed us the time to think about our product options pros and cons, unlike some of the other window companies. Renewal by Andersons of Alaska for example told us we had to make a decision that day or the price quote with the discount and special offer was no longer valid, increasing our pricing by almost $5K, as a result they lost our business. We really appreciate how patient and knowledgeable Steve was. My husband went by their show room on several occasions looking at the different products they offer and emailing questions back and forth. As we came down to making the final decision my husband and I stopped by the show room to look at the new set up they had installed of the Loewen line and finally decided to go with this manufacturer. Steve also took some paint samples from our house for the exterior trim / brick mold color so we could see if any of the standard colors offered would match so we wouldn't have to have an additional color matching up charge. Thankfully for us there were standard colors that matched. My husband has done the bulk of the work to this house himself and he is a bit of a perfectionist so there were a lot of questions and direction by my husband of how he wanted the installation to go. The installation crew was very professional and did an excellent install job as well as cleaned up after themselves. With my husband's high expectations this is saying a lot. Also one of the windows was rather large and I give the two install guys much credit for the removal and install of that window. I would highly recommend this company if you are looking to purchase new windows or doors for your home. In the next few months we will also be ordering the matching doors from this product line and we will again be using Neighbors Windows and Doors.

Work was performed on time and on budget. The window has been in place for a year now and we have had no problems with it. My wife loves it. Her plants thrive in it and it completely transforms the feeling in the living room/dining room area. It is triple pane glass and there is no heat loss from it.

We appreciated the quick response which was very polite. Obviously, we aren't using this company since they do not do the type of repair work needed, but I was impressed with how quick and professional the response was to our inquiry which was placed on Angieslist after 10 pm. If I have a need for their services, will definitely call for an estimate.

Very professional and had the quote to me immediately. Unfortunately the quote was too much for me to afford from this company. I got a call back asking if I had the quote and explained to them why I would not be using them. They explained the quote to me in terms I could understand.

There was a several month wait after ordering the windows, but once they were made, installation went quickly and fairly painlessly. I liked that the windows were made locally and installed by a local company.

In addition to the door, I was going to have them replace five windows that didn't open with ones that did,. Some one came out to do all of the initial measuring and turn the numbers back into the company so I could get an estimate of the total cost. During that visit I told him it was imperative that I get the door put in as soon as possible. My daughter, son-in-law and I had just purchased the house. The lower level would be my main living area. I have cats, my son in law is violently allergic to cats. The solution was to put a door in to keep the cats from coming upstairs. I would not be able to move in to my own new house until the door was put in. All of this was explained to the agent. He told me I would get the estimate within a day or so. It took a week and a half and three phone calls and e-mails from me to finally get the estimate. They wanted $8,000 just for the windows plus it would take at least eight weeks to get them. They had priced triple pane windows when I had specified double pane. I sent an e-mail asking if they would please readjust the estimate using double pane prices. I never heard back. By this time almost two weeks had passed since the initial visit so I decided to tank the window plans and just get the door done. I ordered the door, paid a down payment/deposit. Then the waiting began. I was told it would be a few days, then it became a week, then two weeks. I had to move in, so my son in law erected a temporary door that I used for another week or so. Well over a month after I began the process, they finally put the door in. The installers were very nice and did an excellent job on the door. It is a good, solid wood door. I have no complaints with the quality of the workmanship, just with the length of time it took to get the door put in, the price, and the difficulties I had getting someone to communicate with me.

They did a beautiful job and were easy to work with.

These contractors work closely with Capitol Glass. Each time they kept an appointment to provide a free estimate on total cost for materials and labor for each of the jobs. They coordinated closely with me regarding the preparation of the windows and the time frame for delivery for installation. Finally for each of the three jobs they arrived to do the work at the appointed day/time and completed the job in an efficient, thorough manner with careful attention to avoiding damage to interior or exterior walls, plantings or furniture. They completed each job within the projected timeframe, in a thorough and careful manner, with excellent attention to detail and to exacting standards.

The only mistake in this transaction was mine. I did not replace all the windows in my house the first time. Two windows had been replaced by the previous owner and I thought that these were O.K. After getting the rest of my window replace with the Northerm Windows, the two that I had not replace paled in comparison. (The first round of installation was in 2010.) I called Steve and got the last two replace and could not be happier. Steve and his crew are prompt and professional. I recommend them whenever I can. I even did so to a new neighbor today that is just starting his energy upgrade. These windows were not cheap but quality materials and workmanship rarely is. If you can afford the best, you will not be disappointed with Northerm Windows from Capitol Glass professionally installed by Neighbors Windows and Doors.

Very professional but really didn't offer any solid advise. Just whatever you want kind of attitude. Prices are definitely high.

I wasn't all that happy with the first encounter I had from Neighbors, however, after seeing my input on Angie's, Steve called me immediately to find out what happened and asked for a second chance. The second impression was much better than the first. He took his time to explain the different options and explain the differences in cost. I was kept up to date with the order status and installation was scheduled quickly once everything was in. The installers were friendly, neat and clean and ensured everything was good to go before leaving. They also took the time to show me how things worked and let me know that they will come out and readjust the door, if needed, when the season changes. I am very please that I gave them a second opportunity.

We began the process of replacing all the windows in the house and chose Neighbors based on their ties to Captol Glass-Northerm windows, who seem to have a very good made-for-Alaska product. They are not the least expensive option, but the windows are beautiful and Neighbors were very efficient and professional. We also had them do a fir trim installation with the windows and it looks great. We are using them again to finish the rest of the house.
