MJ did an awesome job. Mike and Jean and their son are a great team. The only snafu was the tile supplier didn't order enough tile to complete the job. Not MJ's fault. When the rest of the tile arrived, they came back and finished the job. Really nice people to deal with! Love my new shower and would not hesitate to use them again. Sorry it has taken me this long to write this review. Haven't been on Angie's List for a while.

Really well. There were complications with how old the house was but they did the job and made everything right. They did a good job and we are very happy with what they did.

It went fairly smoothly. Naturally things got added on as we went along in the process.

Mike and Jean and their son Chris were responsible for removal of our old cabinetry and appliances, installing electrical and moving/updating plumbing, installing tile, painting, installing new cabinetry and new appliances. They were very professional and did an excellent job. We are getting ready to bid another project and I will be calling them first!

Both projects went very well. Work was completed to our satisfaction. Mike and Jean were both very helpful with suggestions and were able to do what was needed. Mike does electrical, but for bigger jobs, would get an electrician. Our stove had to be re-wired. Overall, very professional and work was done in a timely and satisfactory manner. Look forward to working with them again in the future.

They did an excellant job. They were punctual, professional, friendly and had good suggestions too. They were flexible when there were a few last minute changes. The price was very reasonable. That space is the best part of our house now.

Mike is excellent, but expensive. In this case, you get what you pay for. He is worth it.

I called Jean in January, 2011 and she came out and did an estimate. The three estimates I received varied greatly (from $1900 to $3700 to $5700.) which made me a little concerned if anybody knew what they were doing. In March I decided to go with the low bid, which was M&J. At this point came the only difficulty with M&J, and the only reason they did not get straight A's from me. I had a difficult time geting ahold of them to get the project going! One message I left took over a week to get returned. I was later told that they were on vacation, but I should have been informed of that earlier because it was a jolt to my confidence. Even after they returned it routinely took one to three days to get messages returned. It seems that M&J (Mike & Jean) both do the actual work and there is nobody in an office to talk to. And they don't take cell phones with them on the job. If I had known in advance that communication would have been like this, it would have been fine. But as it seemed at the time, I was wondering if anyone was taking care of business. They should have left a message on their recorder about the week they were on vacation, or better yet, they could hve checked messages and returned calls during that time. But for anyone who reads this do not worry about the delayed responses. Just accept that a message you leave will not be returned for a day or so. There was nothing I could have called them about that was really urgent. It just seemed strange to me at the time, and was a little disconcerting. I must say that my patience was well rewarded. Once they came out and started to work things were great. They brought a crew of three (including at least one son) spread out tarps everywhere and did a remarkable job of not making a mess. They were done by noon the next day. The tile looks great, the fauce works beautifully, and the whole project only took a day and a half! I am extremely happy with M&J. They did great work, did it quickly and without a mess, and did it for way less than the other bids. I recommend them highly and will hire them again anytime I need work done on my house.

The renovation took only 3 days and they left the area clean each day. The final product is fantastic. This is a family business and Mike and his son are true professionals. I highly recommend them for any renovation or repair work to be done.
