Edwin of KAT Mgmt Svcs did an excellent job refinishing the front exterior of my house.  He was punctual, polite, professional and I would undoubtedly call him again for any service. He performed the job as described promptly and did not take any shortcuts.  He did an excellent job and I was impressed and I received many compliments from my neighbors on how nice the work was done.

Crew was late in arriving but they got right work tearing out the old driveway and hauled off all old material and cleaned up well. After letting the soil dry they came back the next day to prep by leveling out the frost heaves and adding gravel/rock for underlayment. From there things seemed to progress slowly due to showing up unprepared. The first day of laying down new asphalt the crew showed up with a compactor that was out of fuel and the paving machine had a dead battery. Once they got going the new pavement was layed in and being rolled out, however the compactor was not capable of rolling out the asphalt without spinning the roller due to the grade of my driveway. The delays caused asphalt to cool and not compact as well and then it became apparent they had miscalculated the amount of asphalt needed as they ran out prior to finishing.

The batch plant was closed by the time they realized it and they had to return the next day to finish. This allowed cooling of the new asphalt and left seams where they started the second day and the final finish of the driveway could have turned out with a smoother finish had it been completed all in one day. Prior to completely signing off on the job, I asked them to either seal the driveway or provide me with a written guarantee to cover any repairs, should they be required this fall or next spring. They did provide me with a letter of guarantee that is transferable to a new owner as house is going on the market. I would use this company again, however I would insist they use a larger compactor for a driveway similar to mine.
