They installed a brand new metal roof. After they completed 80% of the roof, it snowed. When the snow melted, it leaked in at least forty to fifty different places. I had already paid them $50,000 for the work. I had other engineers look into our roof and they said it was not installed properly. They told us this was the worst roofing job that they have ever witnessed. He put down the roof with 16-P nails. There were over three hundred holes in the membrane. I then hired a professional sheet metal specialist to repair the roof. There was so much damage that it took him three and a half months to repair the roof. It cost us $142,000 for the repairs. About $11,000 worth of the previous seamless metal roof was damaged and had to be replaced. My attorney told us that he even hired the same company to install their roof and he still has leaks as well. The initial roofer did not have the proper experience or knowledge to work on roofing projects. He said he didn't know why the roof leaked and that he didn't know how to fix it. It was impossible to have the Ingall's Co to rebuild the roof becuase he did not have the knowledge about flashing and proper installation.
