I'm writing this review as a customer who believes that when given information about an item you're about to purchase for a project, that you obtain a complete understanding of the product, not three additional visits later, when all could be ruined. And, considering we knew little about the product we?re about to purchase. What I'm referring to is tile we purchased from this Home Depot. The first visit in late April entailed bringing in a list provided by our contractor for the wall and floor tile needed. We gave our list to two individuals in the tile department and they made quick work of filling it, yet no mention of the product or possibilities of problems, sizing or coloring differences. Did I mention we were charged for 47 cases and only requested 47 tiles, another story perhaps? Once our contractor started in on the floor tile he was quick to find that the tile sizes were not a match, however they all noted the same name and color, yet the numbers on the boxes where different and the pattern on the back of the tiles was different, thus our second trip was planned. On our second visit we returned and picked up the correct tile, now that we were armed with more detailed information, pertaining tile on a pallet noted as one specific item, which it was not. Pay attention cause this gets interesting. We returned the incorrect tile and found we were under paid, as they incorrectly priced the tile at the customer service desk and believe it or not, this only took just over an hour to do. We ended up going back to the tile department to exchange the incorrect tile and low and behold, we met the supervisor of that department. He was quick to notice that we were not refunded correctly and explained all the reasons behind the trouble with the tile, as well. We ended up making a third trip back and addressed the problems with a manager, no need to go further, as it was obvious that this seemed to be a common practice and the next customer could very well deal with the same issues. Bottom line, could the customer have been afforded more specific information about this tile and inherent problems, yes. Is this preventable, yes. As a customer, more research prior, ask for the person who is the expert, as only one was found in this situation. For us the store is accountable for the products they sale and as so should provide or at least attempt to provide any information that would negate problems, that they know full well exist. This Home Depot failed to realize that projects of this nature are not simply reversed and the customer pays the price, which could have been a hug disaster.
Description of Work: It's what the provided didn't do. Poor customer service.

I don't like them. In the past I've had issues as far as returning things. They sold us a toilet and the paint didn't match. When we tried to get the right parts, nobody wanted to step up to the plate and help us. It was a mess. Nobody would make a decision. It was awful. I don't go in there anymore.
