Fuzzy Side Up Installs

Description of Work: This man took his time to come over and evaluate the condition of our bubbly carpet. He said it was a faulty installation. He suggested we call the builder and ask for warranty repair. By doing this, he actually deprived himself of some easy business. That says a lot for his good character.

Description of Work: Fuzzy Side up installed carpet in my living and bedroom. He also put LVT in my master bath. I was very impressed with Nate's hard work and pleasant attitude. I was so impressed that I recommended him to my son. He just finished installing LVT at my son's house and will be doing my downstairs in LVT soon.

Description of Work: Nate installed the laminate flooring in our house as part of a larger remodeling project. The work involved installation in a family room, up a stair into a dining room and continued through the kitchen and laundry including dealing with a crawl space access and working around two fireplaces. It was not a simple install.

Description of Work: Nate did a fantastic job tearing out of old carpet and installing new. He even followed up with Lowe's to check on arrival date of the carpet.

Description of Work: Giant Don's Carpet and Flooring is an established business in Alaska. My wife and I had carpet installed by them over the years and were happy with the price and quality. Recently we decided to go with Kahr's hardwood for our living room and replace the carpet. My son -in-law is very handy and he and I have installed laminate flooring and tile in our house. However, the living room is sunken and has a bay window, banister, and slate fireplace. The hardwood installation would be extremely demanding and outside the scope of what we were comfortable with. Giant Don upon estimate and consultation stated that the hardwood installer they have used the past couple of years loved challenges and installing wood and would love the challenge. I suspected this to be normal sales talk and stated as such to the representative. She stated that in two years they have never had a phone call regarding any problem or issue with the installer on wood flooring. We decided to invest and when a young man showed up alone I was nervous due to his youth and no assistant as I knew the scope of the work to be done. Mr. Fleck was very responsive and worked for two days close to nine hours a day. He was professional and the floor came out looking simply outstanding. He is extremely competent and I am happy to recommend him. The work he did is absolutely first rate and superb.
