 + 0 moreWe discovered that our sewer lines are cast iron and almost 50 years old. Drain Masters came out and inspected the entire sewer line from the house to where it connects to the city sewer line. They let us watch as the technician ran the camera down the line and pointed out where existing issues were and spots that were likely to become issues in the future. They explained what we were seeing in detail, how issues happened, and what could/would happen if the issues were left as-is. The two gentlemen that did this inspection, Henry and Gerald, were very professional, considerate, and knowledgeable. They were very patient in explaining things to me and made sure I understood what I was seeing. Once we agreed to have them line the pipes to restore them, they got us on the schedule quickly. The crew that came in to do the work, Roger and Ian, made sure that I was kept informed of the progress, didn't mind that my dog kept laying down right in their path - his way of getting more attention :-) - and were focused on making sure the job was done right rather than just getting it done. I was very impressed with the entire process and all the individuals involved. I will definitely use them in the future and I recommend them wholeheartedly!

 + -1 moreThe crewman was totally rude and said right away, 'I have anther job I need to be at', I had told him to get closer to my unit he needed to drive to the other side of my building, was in a big hurry and had my toilet pulled up fast , I asked about if I was going to get another floor seal put in when he finished and he got nasty and told me to leave the area so he could get his job done, I did not realize till the next day while I was out his site he had gone into my shower and set the hot water mix valve out so I had no hot water when I tried to take a shower, I found this out by trial and error, this worker was totally rude and vindictive, I do not recommend Drain Masters as they have very rude techs, this was totally mean to me and I don't understand why this had to happen

We tried numerous companies in the past but only Drain Masters took the time to find the root of the problem (years ago) and since then they have helped us in numerous areas of our home. We have dealt with several different employees from this company over the past decade and every single one of them have been extremely helpful.

 + -1 morei called to schedule appointment on a Sunday and the man who answered was very nice and professional, and they got me in the next morning. Gave me a 10-12pm window and was here by 10:10! Prompt, clean and efficient. The man who came was very nice and descriptive of my situation which I appreciated. When he left I even went to put back the few things I'd moved for him to work and they were already put back! I expected a mess (that we usually are left with after a contractor) and he even wiped up his puddle marks from shoes from my tile entry when he exited. Overall great service! I've had this same company do work on our bathroom couple months ago and again, great same service. They explained everything to me before performing any work and gave me less expensive options in detail so I understood and didn't just pay for unnecessary maintenance. Thank you Drain Masters/Denali Drain & Sewer!

 + -1 moreSince it was not an emergency, I called in the morning. Drain Masters' dispatch person said it would likely be late afternoon, but they got to us sooner. Daniel got started before he even came in the house, by locating a cleanout outside. When he came in, he put on booties to keep our floors clear. I briefed him on what I knew and he kept me informed as he figured things out. It turned out that the basement sewer backflow preventer valve had been taken out and improperly reinstalled (reversed) 6-months earlier during a sump pump repair job by a different company. Since we rarely used the basement bathroom, it wasn't noticed until this week, when it backed up onto the floor. Daniel showed me the problem and reinstalled the valve correctly. He then snaked out 75 feet of pipe which he said all looked clear. Then he tested the drains, cleaned up his workspace, explained the pipe layout in my house to me, and gave me a full written report on an emailed invoice. All totaled, 45 minutes and with a senior discount.
Description of Work: The drains from my basement backed up unexpectedly and my efforts to clear them didn't work.

 + 0 moreThe owner cleared the blockages, then suggested we have him run a camera through the piping to the septic tank. We discovered that the piping to the septic tank had come off and was lower than the tank inlet. The owner then showed us the septic tank had flaws, and the grade from the septic tank to the leachfield was not as steep as it should be. We had just bought the house, and an engineer had signed off the that whole system was in good working order. We learned that the engineering practice for homes is to merely do a leachfield drainage test, and did not include a look at the septic tank.

 + -1 moreI contacted Drain Masters and was greeted by a pleasant lady who took my information and offered the option to have her tech come out after he finishes the job he was on or would I prefer to schedule an appointment. We elected to ask him to come out today, Saturday. Approximately 45 minutes later I received a call from the Tech, Steve, who said he was 15 minutes out. Steve arrived with tools and a great attitude. I told him I was going to ask him "How's it going?" But then I realized it was almost 9PM. He chuckled and asked, "How can I help you?" I took him to the laundry room and explained plans A and B with the failed victory dances. I told him I'm at his beckon call, whatever he needs, I'll get or do it for him. He explained he'd start with the auger and go from there. I got out of the way. I stopped about 20 minutes later and it had apparently cleared the drain and was snaking the floor drain "Just in case." I told him that was good because both that floor drain and the garage floor drain were both very slow draining. When Steve had finished the floor drain in the laundry room he tested both that and the stand pipe, both worked well. Then, unexpectedly he moved to the garage floor drain. 10 minutes later he has that drain working better than it has in 10 years. Steve's attitude and work ethic reflect very, very well on Drain Masters. He has learned the fine art of a true service provider. He "Under Promised and Over Delivered!" (read that again). To top it all off, when Steve returned with the bill/invoice he had included the military discount without question. If the rest of Drain Masters technicians are as professional and service orientated as this man, there should be no hesitation by anyone to call them when needed.
Description of Work: Saturday morning I hear water running in the laundry room but no equipment running. I open the door to see the concrete floor covered in about a half inch of liquid. Judging from the food particles washing around I quickly deduct that the liquid is coming from the kitchen drain one floor above. I gave a quick shout out to my Mrs to stop whatever is draining. As I near the source I see that it's actually the laundry stand/drain pipe that is overflowing with kitchen waste. I grab the 16-gallon wet/dry vac and begin cleaning up the wet mess. I disconnect the clothes drier and haul it into the attached garage to make room for whatever repairs I'll need to make. I disconnect the clothes washer and slide it into a corner. Proudly I go to the garage and retrieve the Ridgid brand power snake/auger and a cordless drill. "I got this!" After running the small 1/4 line into the drain for the full 20 feet, I was surprised I hadn't hit any blockage although it was more difficult to remove the drain snake than to put it in. My victory dance was to flush the pipe with water from a garden hose... to my surprise, it filled and overflowed very quickly. Plan B. I used the wet/dry vac to remove the water from the stand pipe and held it in place for a few minutes, until no water was being removed. Then I placed the hose on the exhaust port of the vac and blew air into the pipe, thinking if I can pull the clog, I'll push it. Again, my victory dance was to flush the pipe with water from a garden hose... to my dismay, it again filled rather quickly. (A man with tools and no knowledge is dangerous and a man with knowledge and no tools is helpless.) I fall some place in between. Plan C. Swallowed ego, balanced the checkbook and began looking for plumbers. I contacted RotoRooter at approximately 2pm (it's Saturday) and told the lady my situation. She said she'd have her uncle call me. At 5pm I called RotoRooter again and reminded her. While I was waiting at my computer for a return call, I happen to read some reviews on the local company, I was none to impressed. I decided to look for an alternative. I contacted a plumber with Anchorage Plumbing and Heating after reading some good reviews. He explained that larger drains are a different type of plumbing shop and recommended Drain Masters.

 + -1 moreprovider applied a snake machine for the sewer pipe, and start running the machine until the water gone. we flushed the toilet, the water run smoothly, we also open the faucet water to make sure that the sewer pipe is good to go and everything is fine.
