I went with Discount Mechanical Heating and Plumbing Services again. The guys did a great job repairing my gas line despite the few hiccups we had with city inspectors which was not their fault. It is a very great company and very great employees and service to attention. I highly recommend them.

Called to schedule an estimate. Was told there’s an $89 dispatch fee which is nonrefundable just to get on the schedule.

They showed up to my house told me that their company doesn’t unclog drains and proceeded to charge me.

It was awesome! They were quick to answer my call and able to come out the very same day. He handled it quickly and efficiently. I'm more than happy!

Reggie was very professional and explained elements of this system that were new to me. Of greatest importance, Reggie discovered that a gas line compression fitting to our garage heater was loose and leaking. He tightened it and recommended replacement, which we have done.

Scott called to let me know he was on the way, conducted a thorough examination of all components and explained pertinent details to me.

I called Discount Mechanical and set up an appointment for someone to come out and do an onsite evaluation for follow up price bid. Someone came out and was very polite, gave several suggestions, took measurements and told me I would get a bid shortly from the office. He said they were busy and if I didn't hear in a couple of weeks to call the office. I called the office three weeks later and was told that they didn't have my correct email. They did have my phone number so could have called or mailed to my address which they also had on file. The office person said she could not get into the person who did bids computer but she would have him send it to me. Three weeks later I called again. Again I was told they had the wrong email and would send it out. Each time I spelled out my email. It has been several more weeks and still no bid or call. I chose this company because a friend has used them several times and speaks very highly of them. Their work may in truth be excellent but their customer service, professionalism and punctuality is not.

Scott called before arriving at the appointed time. All units were located next to each other in the garage, but required ladder access. He cleaned and inspected all three units, serviced the flame sensor in the home heater. He also tested the thermostats/controls on the air heaters. The air filters were clean enough to leave in place, but Scott replaced them with higher efficiency filters that I'd bought for the purpose. He also tested the expansion tank on the water heater and made some suggestions. Then he placed service records on all three units.

An excellent job at a reasonable price for parts and labor. What really impressed me was that the office gave me a 2-hour window in which they would show; and they did! And they even give you 20 to 30 minutes notice before arriving. I've never had this happen before. It was about as customer friendly as you can get.

Well the coupon was for heating maintenance. The problems were much more. Boiler had bad expansion tank, leaking at threaded pump connections. Found 007 cartridge making noise. Replaced with correct 005 cartridge and replaced Pressure Relief Valve. All these years of living with this loud noise coming from the boiler and it turned out the company we had work on it prior to them had put the wrong part on it. Thank you for fixing this it is so quite now.

They showed up on time and were very courteous. They were cognizant of my flooring and endeavored to keep their movement minimal. Everything went according to plan and I will definitely use them in the future.

It went great. First time we have used this company and are very happy with the service. Fred was running a little late but he made several phone calls to keep us posted. Very friendly and professional. He did a thorough inspection of the furnace, hot water heater and garage area heater, ran CO tests on all three and installed new filters in the furnace that I had purchased but hadn't gotten around to installing before winter. The last inspection I had done cost me over twice as much and was not as thorough. All in all, a great job for a great price.

Fred at Discount Mechanical is beyond words. He is wonderful, prepared, experienced, informative, professional, fair, pleasant, and put up with my barking dog, two children, stubborn surprise leaks and old house for 8 hours! He was always kind and on task. I cannot say enough positive things. I have no doubt that the rest of the company is not far off from his standards of service. So far, I have had the pleasure of using this company twice. Both times, I called for service, and just a few days later, they got me in. My calls were for an inspection and bringing valves, drains, and thermostats up to code. We also had baseboard removed and looped in the crawlspace, in preparation for a kitchen remodel. Fred was here a lot longer than I believe, either of us had anticipated. He ran into a leak problem, while in the crawl space, and informed me, then fixed it. I would have never known otherwise, and he could have easily ignored it, since that was not the task at hand. As a woman who is mostly home by herself with young children, I felt safe and comfortable having him in my home. I will never hire another company for my plumbing and heating concerns. Discount Mechanical has my business for life. Have I mentioned the price?- they are extremely competitively priced, I felt. With all the lazy, butt-crack showing fellas who take 20 breaks and have to "go get parts" constantly, this company stands alone on it's pedestal, above the rest! Do not hesitate(unless you don't need service immediately) to give them a call.

Scheduling service went well, I was impressed that I was able to get an appointment within a few days of my call;other service providers were scheduling two weeks out. I had to call back several times due to scheduling water shut off with the utility and a couple of times being interrupted on my end, Ruthie was patient and cheerful with all the calls. Scott (plumber) was friendly and knowledgeable. He answered my questions and made recommendations about future service, explaining why replacement parts may be needed, and the usual time frame for that. I was frustrated about the two hour window, I understand that job run over, but two hours for showing up seems excessive. I was the first appointment of the day, but Scott did not arrive until 10:30. He had called at 9:30 to let me know he was picking up a part and was on his way. I called the office at 10:10 wondering if he had run into a problem and was told he had checked in and should be at the house soon. The service took two hours, which meant taking more than the morning off from work. I would recommend Discount Mechanical and will use them in the future, with the note that it may take several hours.

This company is the contracted service provider through my home warranty insurance company and while, with OTHER service providers under contract, I have felt like a lesser priority this company took great care to serve me in a timely, professional manner. Although I would have liked a little quicker scheduled service w/o it being an emergency - i called in service request on Monday and they were not able to get out until Wednesday; when they did schedule it was for a short 2 hour service window and the service technician arrived well within that window. I worked with two different technicians over a couple of days (original service call did not log that I needed both a disposal and faucet install so they had to come out on two days) and both were friendly, professional and helpful working with me and my home warranty company to get the replacement parts I wanted. There were some minor scratches on the back of my stainless steel sink because the mounting nut on the faucet was rusted and needed to be sawed off but other than that installation was also done in a timely manner.

Called our home warranty program due to a furnace failure. Discount Mechanical responded quickly to diagnose our furnace. Within a week of dealing with our warranty company they came out and installed a new furnace under 6 hours. They offered us a free appraisal,space heater, and apology for the delay with warranty company.
