Description of Work: I first called Dave a few months ago when my dishwasher wasn't draining. He gave me advice on what to check and said to call him back if I needed to. He was right it was just a clogged air gap and I was able to fix it myself. I called him back and thanked him for saving me a service call. A short while later my tenant called with dryer issues.Since Dave could diagnose what was wrong with my dishwasher without even looking at it I knew he was good at what he does and called him right away. Dave also recently fixed a problem with the washer in the same rental property. He is prompt in responding to phone calls and/or messages and will try to help troubleshoot over the phone. He does takes credit cards but offers a discount for paying by cash or check. I highly recommend him as the "Go to..." guy for appliance repairs!

Description of Work: Dryer had stopped spinning. Called sears. Couldn'tr schedule appt for 2 weeks. Call out fee was 100 plus dollars. Found Dave on Angie's list. He was willing to come out that evening! We chose to see him next day. No wonder he came so highly recommended! Punctual, courteous, and efficient. Brought his dad along and he was delightful. Would recommend him to everyone. Thank you Angie !

Description of Work: Dave told me what was wrong with my washer and told me he could repair my washer on Friday. I spoke to him on Monday. He took time to explain what the problem was and I was able to fix it myself. Thanks Dave for giving me advice. Your excellent in my book. The top of the washing machine button was too loose to start the machine to rinse the clothes. I got the clue and put it on the piece and tighten it back and everything is good and it works great. Description of Work: I called Dave to come out to one of my rental units to look at the dryer. He was punctual and professional. I never actually met him as we organized everything over the phone. My tenant said he was on time. He called upon completion and explained it wasn't the actual dryer but the ducts. He referred me to a company and gave me their contact info. I did, and now it is all clean and working fine.

Description of Work: Called Dave re: my refrigerator making a noisy racket. Asked if he would come check it out. He recommended I check and clean a couple of things first to see if that would fix the issue. I appreciated that he did not just want to come over for a service fee to tell me that. Very friendly and professional on the call. Ended up needing a new frig so never had him service my appliance.

Description of Work: My refrigerator had stopped working -- it was warm inside. Dave showed up with an elderly man (perhaps his father?) in tow, which seemed pretty unprofessional right off the bat. He worked for quite a while. I eventually came to see how it was going, and he was chipping ice from the inside of the freezer (he had not told me that he had taken a bunch of food, which had been melting for a while, out of the freezer). He was using a screwdriver, poking holes into the ice, which did not seem like a very good way to get rid of it. I asked him why not chip it away? I picked his plastic scraper off the floor and was able to get MUCH more ice off in MUCH less time. I began to question his competence. He eventually admitted that he was not sure what the problem was, and referred me to Reliable Appliance. He thought he had determined what was NOT the problem, but even that was discovered to be incorrect by Reliable Appliance the next day. Reliable Appliance also told me that I was the second call in one day from clients of Dave's, when Dave couldn't finish or figure out the job. Really bad. I spent a lot of time moving food back and forth to my freezer in the garage. Fortunately, he left without charging me anything, because he didn't actually do more than chip ice.

Description of Work: I've used Dave the "Appliance Guy" several times over the last two years on different rental properties, and I VERY highly recommend him!!! He is fast, professional, and cheaper than the competition by far- Just an all around super guy!! He' fixed both a washer and a dryer for me, even told me which parts to keep in case they go bad again, and obliged my curious nature by showing me what he was doing. The first time I called him he just happened to be down the street finishing a job, showed up in 10 min, and 20 min. later the washer was washing again. I was floored! USE HIM!!!!
