PERFECT - they replaced them for FREE under warranty

I special ordered an exterior door from Builder's Millwork as a residential customer. I understood that they do not conduct installations but they agreed to pre-drill holes for my desired door handle hardware. My order arrived as expected. Upon installation from an independent contractor, I learned that pieces were missing from the door, the door jam was installed backward and the requested and agreed upon predrilled holes were never drilled resulting in needing alternative hardware. After installation, I called Builder's Millwork and attempted to get these three issues resolved over a three month period. I grew increasing frustrated at several calls unreturned, repeating my story with each new person I spoke with, and contined poor customer service and lack of follow through. My door jam issue was finally resolved in late September including the missing pieces finally installed on Sept. 21, 2011. I am writing this comment as I have yet to speak to a manager which I requested to do several times and I was never compensated for the poor service I received. Even more upsetting is that I now have door hardware that I can not use or return because Builder's Millwork wrote my name on it with permanent marker. I do not recommend Builder's Millwork for residential customers.
