He is a very, very nice person. He gave me a quote and everything but he was extremely busy and wasn't able to fit it into his schedule. He had a very reasonable quote. It was adding on a huge addition like doing the foundation work and everything. We should probably would have subcontracted for that and then there was some work on the original part of the house to put the two together. I think he was going to be more of my general contractor connecting me with subcontractors and everything too. If he knew ahead of time that he would be able to do the job and then he would have let me know. Out of the 5 contractors I have interviewed, he was the second to the highest in terms of price. He was very professional. One thing I really liked about him was that the most of his contact would be with me, because some other contractors don't like dealing with women. Some are old fashioned on where women are in the work force. He was very woman-friendly.

The final product is very strong. 1 problem during construction was fixed immediately at contractors expense. Great communication with the owner is a BIG positive for me.

Before they started and we had the boss over to let us know what his plans were. While I was concerned about his proposal, my husband was all for it so we went with him though I had my doubts. While they were supposed to start work almost right away in 2010, they took a few months to get started as the boss had other jobs he was running behind on. They started July 2011 instead. When they finally finished at least one job so he had some personnel come over to our house and get started. They pulled apart the bathroom upstairs first as it would take less time to renovate plus we were not having as much done there. The man they sent seemed to not totally know what he was doing and would show up whenever. They also sent a man who was deaf and though I had no problems with him and we could communicate, and he did a great job, I didn't feel like he was totally in the know of what he needed to do. I would contact the boss and not always get an answer whether by phone or text. One day we had his second in command at the house who agreed with me about the planned changes but we could do nothing by that time. He left the company shortly there after as he wanted to work closer to home. Anyway, the work was finally done in September 2011 but it took a few months more to get all the little things they missed fixed. There are still things that aren't right but I have never gotten a call back from the boss and finally quit trying.
