From start to finish I was made feel like my business was a major inconvenience. My whole house is fitted with their products which is a huge investment. I paid for (an overpriced) service for a broken product that they made and installed and at every point of contact I was met with negativity. In the end, they gave me back someone else's blinds and told me that I didn't know what I was talking about when I called to troubleshoot the issue. Rude, unorganized, + overpriced. I tried to do my part and shop local and should have gone to Lowes or Home Depot, definitely would not recommend.

Fine I guess. Until he bent my bedframe in half and laughed at me and said guess you won’t be using that again. Wouldn’t even haul the broken one away, and I spent several hours on the phone today trying to find a replacement. He has not paid for the furniture he broke.
Description of Work: He installed blinds with obvious holes in them.

We love our blinds! Our blinds look amazing and having the top-down, bottom-up feature allows us to position the blinds for privacy while still getting plenty of natural light. I was skeptical of how "black out" the black out blinds would be because we chose such a light tan color for the fabric. But they are great and do totally black out our windows when closed. We received several quotes and, although Blinds Unlimited was a little higher in price, they were the only company that offered lined cellular shades so that the inside of the shade looks white instead of leaving the silver reflective black-out material exposed. It might seem like a small thing because you only see the inside of the blind if you're looking at it sideways, but I really found the unlined shades to look cheap and like giant hot dog wrappers. Blinds Unlimited's lined shades look much more polished. Production and install time were impressively quick. We had one concern regarding the fabric on one blind and Blinds Unlimited addressed it right away.
Description of Work: We hired Blinds Unlimited to install cellular black-out blinds with the "top-down, bottom-up" and "continuous cord" features in all of our bedrooms and our family room / den.

The owner of the company had been buy two times in the past three years to repair our old blind and it was quickly deteriorating - the cords were awful! His representative arrived at the house when scheduled, measured the space and advised me about what type of blind would best suit our window. I was contacted within the timeframe in my quote to inform me that the blind was ready. We set a date and the installation was done in a matter of minutes! Worry free transaction and we thanks Blinds Unlimited for their excellent customer service! Love the blind!
Description of Work: Created a new, extra wide (80+ inches) duet blind for our master bedroom. It lowers from the top and/or rises from the bottom - easily!

Do not use this company is you would like any customer satisfaction!
Description of Work: I called this company for a repair on my blinds. Kevin called back today to let me know that they would not be available for at least 30 days to come over to make the repair, because they're so busy making blinds. Their company was the company who made the blinds in the first place. My husband and I have done nothing BUT repair their blinds for the last two years, since we bought our home. This time we could not do the repair and we called them for help. Well, we will not call again. The owner of the Blind Factory, called me on Friday to schedule a time to come to our home to make the repair and HE is not the individual who sold the original blinds. Now, which company has the best customer service? Hmmm?

See above. The job was not done correctly. Despite the self-evident fact that the blinds are not cut to the width they themselves specified, they are trying to blame me. Do not do business with these guys.
Description of Work: I took three sets of honeycomb blinds originally produced by this company to be cut down to fit new windows. I carefully measured the windows and gave the inside measurement (23 3/4") to the company. The person who took my order said that they would cut the blinds 3/8" less than this measurement. My math tells me the blinds should all have been cut to 23 3/8". When I got the blinds home, I found that only one of the three had been cut to the proper measurement. One had only been cut to the actual window measurement, not the measurement minus 3/8", and will not fit at all (inside mount). The third blind had been cut to 23 1/2" and is a very tight fit. When I called the company they argued with me, telling me that I had not measured the windows correctly! I have a steel tape measure and photos showing it next to the three blinds. They are obviously not cut to the same dimensions. The company also told me they thought I'd given the wrong instructions when I dropped the blinds off. I have a copy of the receipt I got when I did this, with "IM 23 3/4" written on it by the Blinds Unlimited employee. The person who took my order told me the same thing the person who just called to argue with me did: standard proceedure is to cut the blinds down to 3/8" than the actual inside measurement. I have already paid for the work. I have also used over a gallon of gas and 1.5 hours of time driving to and from this company (which is only open until 5 PM -- I work full time and have used up two lunch hours). They have a panel van sitting in front of the store but say they are too busy to come pick the blinds up to do the job I've already paid them for. I guess they want me to bring the blinds back so they can argue with me some more. My next step is to do a charge back with my credit card. I will have to find another business to cut these expensive blinds properly.
