Description of Work: The shutters for the upstairs bedrooms are beautiful and were installed well. They look great, and I have zero complaints about them. The first set of shutters that arrived for the master bedroom were too short, configured incorrectly and didn't fit the window. The second set were also too short and had to be "customized" to fit. I originally asked for a photo of the shutters so I was sure I was going to get what I asked for. The photos provided didn't look like it, but I was assured it would be exactly what I wanted. They aren't. |He and his helper had to go out and buy "tracks" for the bottom of the shutters. They are too small and flimsy and consequently hard to use. I also asked him not to screw anything into my new window casements, but he did anyway because the 2nd set of shutters were also too short and the bottom track was not included in the order. |My final complaint is he bullied me when I told him I was out of town for work and not available to let him come to install the bedroom shutters until I got back. He wanted to come the minute they showed up at his shop, but didn't give me any prior warning. When I gave him my return dates, he said he would not be here because his son was sick and needed to leave the state for treatment. He said they would be away for months and he needed to leave right away. I asked him to make arrangements for his helper to do the install. On the day of install, the owner showed up and said the treatment was delayed and he was leaving the next day. Two weeks later I ran into him at the gas station. |I don't feel good about the master bedroom shutters or this company. I aam ordering my living room shutters from a different company.

Description of Work: I called this company Thursday evening, February 21, 2013 and requested a phone call the next day. Dave called me back on Friday and left a message, even giving me his cell phone to use if necessary. Our master bedroom blind, built by another Anchorage company had failed to stay open - broken latch. The other Anchorage company called me this morning and told me they couldn't help me for 30 days because they "were so busy building blinds" and couldn't be out until then. Blinds Unlimited had built the blinds for the former homeowners! Dave arranged to meet me at home, the day that I called him back, Monday 2/25/13, knowing that the blind was not one of his company's items. His superior customer service wins straight "A" s in my book!

Description of Work: Dave is a consummate professional and did a great job. He measured and installed in two different properties, one of which was a rental. He was more than willing to work with the tenant to schedule times that were good for them for measuring and installation, and he was very accommodating of my schedule as well. The product is of very good quality. I'd heard the Blind Factory was "expensive" but I found the BF bids to very competitive for a far superior product. The service is great. (He is even still storing one set of product for me while my property is undergoing some unexpected renovations.) I will definitely use him in the future - he is my go-to guy now for window treatment needs.
