Description of Work: He helped me get a cheaper price on the motor as well by recommending I get that myself. He returned quickly when ther was an unexpected problem with the door the first week (weatherstripping came off).

+ -1 moreHe has always been efficient and will tell me if he cannot do it. He is a one man show and seems to know all about doors. He can replace parts and replace openers and just do a lot of the little things. He even told me where to go to get the best garage door opener, I got it, and he put it in.
Description of Work: He checked a kink in the door and pushed it back in and didn't charge me. However, he has put new openers on my garage doors and repaired springs, etc. for me and my boyfriend for many years.

Description of Work: My spring broke and my car was stuck inside the garage. He was at my home in less than an hour. He had to go back to his shop and get the springs as they are industrial (large) ones that he did not carry on his truck. He suggested replacing both at the same time as he would have to charge more to take it apart again. He was still done with the entire project in just over an hour. He gets right to work and does not talk a lot!

+ -1 moreI called Alaska Garage Door the night before, around 7:30, so I wasn't sure if I would get an answer. I thought I had the wrong number since it was answered with just a Hello, like someone had just woken up. So after I asked if this was the company, I was a bit apprehensive as to the integrity. However he said he could come the next morning, so I set it up. It ended up that not only the cable snapped , but the giant spring that works the mechanism had snapped in half as well. He gave me a quote right there, and actually had the supplies on hand to fix it, which was really encouraging. He did a good job, and the garage door is still working. I found the guy to be honest. I would suggest he grow in his professionalism, ie) answering phone, how he dresses, etc., because it was almost a deterrent for me.
Description of Work: The garage door cable snapped on the one side, causing the door to get stuck and begin to come down crookedly. I needed it fixed before it started wrecking the whole door.

Description of Work: Over the past 6 years, Brad has repaired my aging garage door about 3 times for 3 different problems. He's friendly, timely, quick to diagnose problems, and quick with his repairs -- just a dynamo. And for very reasonable amounts, especially for a service call. Whatever the reason for repair, Brad's always checked & lubed both doors before he leaves. He's also repaired my friend's vehicle-damaged garage door on a near-emergency basis, which friend & I really appreciated!
