Services we don't offer
We do not offer landscaping, auto painting, tree service, auto service, furniture repairs.
We do not sell paint, equipment, nor do we rent airless es, power washers, ladders.
The experience was exhausting. The crew missed many, many areas. I contacted the owner multiple times and they came out to address things. The crew would do a couple of little things and leave. We finally painted some closets, walls and doors that were not done ourselves. We also had to touch up areas where they failed to paint within 4 inches of the floor. Given enough time and energy on my part I believe that I could have had every issue addressed. However, a project that was supposed to take a couple of days went into weeks and became such a hassle that it was not worth the followup.

I'm Sorry to say but we did not work for you, at least I did not perform a bid for you. I don't know if this is a mistake but we have not worked in Girdwood this season.

Sorry you were not happy with what was done, I feel this is due to us not wanting to install a rear slider door at your time frame. If you were not happy with the work why did you say all looks great, and thank you. I also do recall the conversation we had about the job and you were extremely happy with our work, but was not happy that I would not rush over to install a slider door for you right away before you where leaving town, Sorry

Brad came out and provided an estimate in a timely fashion and was competitive with another bid. He said he could get me in quickly so I went with him. There was about a month delay due to other projects they had and weather. When the project started, I believe it was a subcontractor Brad had hired who showed up late the first day and every day after. He would stay for 1-2 hrs, then leave my house (which is min 14 mi out of Eagle River ) and return in the afternoon, leaving some young, inexperienced guy to do the work. They left garbage and cigarette butts in my yard, so I asked them to use the bins in the garage and they continued to leave lunch items out in yard which my dogs got into and made a further mess. The guy in charge of the work demanded payment before the job was complete, and got into an argument with me about it on the phone when I asked him to explain the payment policies. He hung up on me after I called him out on the fact that the work was not completed, and so I called Brad to complain. The guy had explained some personal problems to Brad and why he needed the money at that time, and Brad asked for my understanding. I told Brad the things that needed doing and he seemed to take note and made me feel comfortable that the job would get done. It took at least another month and arguing with Brad on the phone for him to come out and fix the stain on the deck (they did not use the color I asked) and to complete refinishing on a dormer they overlooked. These changes were eventually completed by Brad. Within a year, the paint on the deck railing was chipping because it had not been scaped before it was painting. As the siding has been exposed to sunlight, you can see streaks where they unevenly stripped or bleached the wood before re-staining. I would never use them again and caution anyone from accepting their bid even if it is competitive and they say they can start right away.l
Description of Work: Remove finish on cedar-sided home, bleach and re-stain. Scrape and pain deck-railing, fascia and trim.

If we had known that she was not happy with the completed project it would have been delt with. As for me asking for the money, Not right. This home is back near the Eagle River Visitor ctr., and yes I did leave guys to do the work. The house was completely stripped and stained with a natural finish which looked really good being the fact that the home had rawhide on it before with mildew in quite a few areas. The deck was cleaned then refinished with the color of her choice, she did want to paint the rails and floors but this is not a good idea. We do not cover decks in a warranty for a reason as they will PEEL. I apologized about the leaving garbage & cigarette butty on the ground as I myself do not smoke, and yes the guys were spoken to and this ended. Over all job did not take over a year, we came back to finish up on some touch up work as asked with no problem. We did exactly what was ask from us and more. We do have pics of before and after of this home and like I had mentioned this home looks great. Why do people wait four years later to tell us? We are sorry we did not make a you satisfied customer, I felt at the end of this project things were all good, I guess I read them wrong. I do feel like the biggest complaint was the cigrette butts from the guys, Sorry again.

Brad and Alaska Supreme Painting are the real deal. Without digressing too much, contracting with Brad has been an awesome experience. Professionalism and communication are very important traits for my wife and I, and Brad demonstrates these qualities in every way. Trying to be a smart consumer, I sought three bids to repaint my living room, including Alaska Supreme Painting and two other contractors (both having high marks on Angies list). I did not know it at the time as Brad was the first contractor I contacted, but he set the bar very high for the other bidders. The day I called, he was able to come to my house and bid my living room. He presented as very competent and experienced, listening to me as I illustrated my vision of the living room and then effectively explaining what he planned on doing and how. He sent an email that night with the bid amount and estimated approximately one day of work, his cost was reasonable and competitive. He was also able to separate the primary cost of my living room with additional jobs I wanted, such as removing a wall mirror and retexturing as needed. The other two contractors were much slower in their approach with me. After getting my bid from Brad (all in one day) it took about two weeks for both bidders to have their bids completed and sent to me (one estimated five days for the primary job and another five days for the mirror removal -- are you kidding me?). The lack of communication and slow place started to frustrate me. Furthermore, both other contractors generally seemed less interested in my concerns and wishes regarding the job. Needless to say, when I finally received the third bid; the choice to go with Brad was a no-brainer. As far as the job went, I could not be more impressed with the work Brad and his foreman did. An absolute transformation of my living room to put it simply. Everything was painted impeccably, and it was exactly how we envisioned it. Furthermore, Brad never skimped on the details, making sure every surface was appropriately textured and imperfections corrected. The job took a little more than a day to complete, right on with Brad’s initial estimate and quite impressive considering our living room is pretty large. He even removed the ridiculously large and cumbersome wall mirror free of charge so we did not have to deal with it. Brad’s professionalism and responsiveness in conjunction with the results of our living room (the services we paid for) really made this a pleasant experience. We really feel like we paid a fair price for great service. We enjoy our new living room and working with Brad so much we are going to contract him for additional jobs we have around the house. The bottom line is Alaska Supreme Painting has to be one the potential contractors you seek a bid from, and I will recommend them for anyone who needs contracting work in the future. Thanks guys – you rock!
Description of Work: Painted entire living room and ceiling with high vaulted walls. Removed mounted wall mirror and retextured every where as needed.

Brad and Alaska Supreme Painting are the real deal. The two other reviews here on Angies list are in no way a representation of my own experience with Brad. AK Supreme Painting was hired to treat the cedar siding on two sides of my house. Upon completion the cedar looked fine. What I was not impressed with was the stain on my brand new rain gutters, window trim, house address numbers, etc. They did not remove or cover up any of these items and sprayed right over them. I was out of town when the work was performed so I never had a chance to inspect the work quality until after the crew was gone. After repeated calls and promises to return and fix the problem, I gave up. They never did return as was promised.

The painting in the basement went ok. Brad was responsive to the problems encountered and fixed all of the ones identified. He wanted to be sure our overall satisfaction was exceeded. It was the result of his responsiveness on the basement that led to having him work on more public areas of our house. We have smooth wall finish on our main levels on the home. When we discussed the job, we discussed preference to have it sprayed. The project ended up being rolled. Unfortunately, it appeared that the workforce were not that skilled painting smooth wall finishes. The senior person seemed to be qualified to do the work but unfortunately he did not do the work by himself. Wall outlets and light fixtures were not removed from the wall to allow for rollers, the cutting in was by brush and the lines created by the brush were evident when light shines in the area. Initially, we thought we could live with the problems. We are in the process of selling our home and have decided the finished product on the walls is unacceptable and are in the process of sanding or skimcoating the areas in question. We plan to repaint the walls. To be fair, we have not pushed Brad to return to repair. Our preference is not to have him do the work. Based on our experience on the basement, he may have fixed to our satisfaction. We are a little discouraged that during any quality inspection he should/could have done on the workmanship would have identified the problems to ensure the perceived quality of his workmanship. This wasn't done. Likely busy and the desire to move on to the next job.

I recall the home very well, want to say that this job was sprayed as discussed in the bid and not rolled. At the time of this job we were not to busy and like mentioned in the review yes I did go back and look at a few touch ups and had the guys take care of them. To start, this job had drywall issues and no it's not smooth wall it's texture was large skip trawl. If any issues were with painting I would be glad to have fixed them. We have plenty of experience in doing this job, I wish we could have been called if there was a problem... Thanks
