Description of Work: Brian and his crew at Ace Projex did a great job replacing and lengthening my driveway. Very professional and detailed work. My job had some surprises such as finding stumps and roots buried in the driveway and tricky grade issues. | After finding the tree roots and soft soil he gave me a new quote to adjust for the new excavation and fill. There were no surprises with the price and I felt that the price was fair for the amount of work that they performed. As with most contractors with reasonable rates, they are very busy so some of my work was delayed until it could be rescheduled. Brian did a good job communicating with me about his schedule and got back to me within a day or two after I called.

Description of Work: Had 2'x 20' section of garage floor cut out and replaced. Guys were prompt, quick, and did an excellent job. They took special care to ensure dust and water was abated. Brian quick to return phone calls. Entirely professional and priced well. Plan to have them replace asphalt driveway later this year.

Description of Work: They built a new concrete pad for us in the backyard for our hot tub, demolished and rebuilt our concrete front porch and sidewalk, and demolished and repaved our asphalt driveway.

Description of Work: Brian and his crew just finished replacing my driveway and I couldn't be happier. It was a big job--total replacement of a fairly long driveway. I had decided to pay the extra money to have the subgrade removed and backfilled with aggregate--as I had heard this made for a better result. Brian said we should wait and see if it was needed once the asphalt was removed. This impressed me--he wasn't just trying to make as much money as possible. It was obviously needed once the asphalt was removed. In addition, a spring was under the driveway, which necessitated installing a drain. The job is beautiful. I can't wait to start using it and am already thinking of other projects for this great company!

+ 1 moreWe were searching for a responsive and reasonably priced contractor to perform various concrete and asphalt repairs/modifications. We contacted Brian with Ace Projex and he was able to stop by and give us an estimate within 48 hours. Upon receiving the bid, we immediately accepted it and within 24 hours had the services scheduled. No delays or rescheduling, the work was done right the first time just as described. Ace is now our first choice for all concrete and asphalt work, a very affordable, professional, and outstanding contractor to work with.
Description of Work: Poured a sidewalk addition to make a walkway more accessible. This involved extending the sidewalk about 15 feet to the side of the road. Also repaired asphalt heaving on the south end of our property. A section about 20 x 20 was cut out and relayed. Both jobs were done to perfection.

+ -1 moreThe guys had to do the pouring (by hand) and they were great. They mixed the concrete in a wheel barrel by hand and they prepped by covering the walls with visqueen so they would not be splattered. They kept runners on the carpet so the wheel barrel would not soil the carpet.The clean up was excellent too and the project went great. It took probably 4-5 hours of work for 2 guys. I would definitely use them again. Very professional. Good work.
Description of Work: I contacted ACE regarding filling old heating ducts under my house slab with concrete because of mice problems. The owner Brian, came to the house and looked at the project and later gave me a bid and did the work in a timely manner.

+ 4 moreI normally would not bother to post here, but this company does such good work I am compelled to share this with everyone. A friend of mine recommended Brian to me when we were talking about the muddy mess our driveway was this spring as the snow melted. Brian showed up on time and had all the equipment and help he needed. We wanted to have our muddy driveway paved with compacted gravel to keep the natural look of our home, yet protect the trees growing alongside and not damage the roots. He had no problem with that and recommended some things that would make sure the driveway would drain well and still protect the trees. He did the job exactly as he said he would. It was really amazing to watch him maneuver his front end loader as he prepared the site and filled it, never bumping a tree or running over the lawn. It was a real pleasure to watch him drive the loader, like dancing. You can tell he has run one for many hours. So you think this must have cost quite a bit? We were amazed at how reasonable his price was, and even happier after we saw how good a job he does. I will certainly use Ace Projex again!
Description of Work: Driveway improvements: removal of soft soil and replacement with gravel and compaction while avoiding damage to tree roots under the driveway and the trees and structures nearby.
