gutter repair

In Feburary I noticed that we had a large ice mass coming down the end of the gutter opposite the down spout, the ice was about 12" in diameter by 10' long. I retrieved a ladder and got up where I could see the top of the gutter and found that the gutter had draft going away from the down spout which meant the gutter filled with water and drained over the end opposite the down spout.I called Alaska Gutters about the problem and told them to hold off trying to fix it until some of the snow melted away.. The first week of May I called and they came out to find the part of the down spout that ran across the back of the garage was laying on the ground partially crushed. The Alaska Gutter repair man replaced the crushed part of the down spout and reattached it with two clamps and longer screws. In the original installation, the down spout was not attached to the vertical part of the spout and the clamp on the exit end of the down spout only had one shot screw in it per the repair man. The repair man could not add a new down spout because he did not have enough down spout material, he said he would return soon. Two weeks later I called about when the repair would be completed? Shortly after, another repair man and his helper came and added a new down spout. Now Alaska Gutters want me to pay $156.00 for a down spoutI they had installed the gutter the way they should have and attached, the across the garage down spout with some reasonable hardware none of this would have happened. Alaska Gutters are "Guaranteed for two years"
Description of Work: Original gutter was installed 8/20/2011. The two people seemed to know what they were doing. It was done fast but when I asked them if one down spout was good enough they said yes, the gutter is 50' long. The gutter ran 50' along the house with one down spout. The down spout continued thru a elbow and about 20' across the back of a garage.
