"I needed an Ecobee smart thermostat installed. I explained the primary issue would be that my HVAC system did not have a C-wire but one would be needed in order for the Ecobee to work. The associate created a c-wire by simply attaching a blue wire to the HVAC chassis (that a ground wire, at best. Not a C or "common" write) Long story short, it was clear this associate was out of his depth with this job. Rather than admit that and leave, he made a half-baked, uninformed attempt and ended up having to leave with the old thermostats still installed...of course, I still got charged full rate in spite of his obvious lack of knowledge."
