"Tom was an incredible resource and project manager for our home backyard project. He worked with us to get the brick materials we wanted for our patio. He helped us install an area of artificial turf as well. His team worked hard and were working every day during the work week until project completed. Highly recommend Tom!"

A.N.T Masonry is owned by Ken, who has 20+ years of masonry experience under his tool belt. Ken's motto is being professional, productive, and a client-focused attitude. "Ken, who owns this business, has a lot of integrity. I hired him initially to mortar and Tuckpoint my chimney and the brick on the front of my home. I had a bit of water leakage in my basement and felt it was because of the missing mortar (now, no leaks). Not only did he do an excellent job on that (matching color and style), but he found defects with the way my recent HVAC had been installed and mortared the open clay flue to the furnace. He installed a liner into my furnace flue for a very reasonable price and stuck to that price for stainless steel, even though he ran into obstructions that caused him to have to open up the brick wall, in the basement behind the fp, to chip out the flue obstructions. He then closed the wall, and rebricked and mortared it, matching the original brick. He tied that furnace and hot water heater into the new ss lined flue. It's much safer! When I could see how well he works with brick, I tested his skills on cement, and he took my front cement porch, drilled out imperfections, filled cracks and built me a step to the front porch that had become a big step up. He also built me a cement step into the house from the garage (wooden step was decaying) and an additional step on a side door small stoop that had sunk. Not having to replace this cement work saved me thousands in cost. Ken also filled a significant opening into my garage from the outside connected to cement failure on a side floor/bottom of wall on both the outside and inside. He is incredibly dedicated to getting the job done in a way that satisfies the customer. Ken is rare in that he treats your home as if it's his and tries to give 120% to make it safe from carbon monoxide leaks and leakproof from water. It's not that common to find high integrity and low cost in the trades. I found him secretly mortaring a bottom side to my chimney, under the dirt, with black mortar, because he found a small opening left by the original builder. WOW."

"I’ve hired Soso Remodeling for various projects over the years, including kitchens, bathrooms, decks, and porches, and I’ve never been disappointed with Octavian's workmanship. Each project required different materials like ceramic, porcelain, marble, quartzite, and other natural stones, along with unique layouts, and Octavian has handled everything with expertise. Communication has always been clear from the start, which ensures there are no misunderstandings or issues during the project. Stone and gravel services FAQs

The average cost of a gravel driveway is about $1.25 to $2 per square foot, including the cost of materials, equipment, and professional installation. For example, a 16-by-30-foot driveway costs about $1,500. Cost factors include the type of gravel, how thick the gravel is installed, the condition of the landscape, and labor costs. Overall costs will vary depending on where you live and how accessible the job site is.

A gravel driveway should be at least 4 to 6 inches deep, depending on the soil it’s installed on. Softer soil that doesn’t drain well should have a deeper gravel driveway. Deeper gravel will mean you spend more on materials and labor, but you’ll get a more stable driveway and avoid damage that needs to be filled or graded flat again.

Because gravel moves, it requires different maintenance than asphalt or concrete. Here are a few maintenance tips for your gravel driveway. Every few years (or as often as needed):

  • Grade and level your driveway

  • Rake to fill holes and ruts

  • Compact any refilled potholes

  • Remove weeds with herbicide or by hand

  • Spray it with water to reduce the amount of dust kicked up

  • Avoid using a snowplow during winter months

A gravel driveway should last for up to 100 years with proper upkeep, which is minimal. Maintaining a gravel driveway includes grading and adding fresh gravel to fill in potholes. Otherwise, a gravel driveway holds up well to all kinds of weather. Plowing in the winter can be challenging and the gravel can develop ruts or potholes that need to be repaired, but the cost and longevity of gravel compared to concrete, asphalt, and pavers makes gravel an economical option, especially for long and/or wide driveways.
