While he gave us the estimate for the approach for the stairs, he recognized that the best solution was not a carpentry solution but a plumbing solution which we supported. He could have pushed the carpentry option, but he gave us a solution that would save us money, time, and resolved our spigot access situation at the same time. This includes out of warranty products such as Hunter Douglas, etc. Consider repairing that broken blind, shade, or shutter, before replacing a whole room full, just to make them match.
