About the team

This role sits in the Content & Editorial team of the Product organization. The Content & Editorial team is responsible for the Angi Solution Center, HomeAdvisor Cost Guide Center, and in-product content that drives business objectives. We are a high-performing editorial team focused on new customer acquisition and growth, setting the content standards and strategy across the user experience through consistent day-to-day management of our 9,000 article library and by implementing new strategies to make our site best-in-class.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will be responsible for writing high-impact content that promotes the Angi and HomeAdvisor brands. You will own writing some of our highest value articles, such as our Cost Guides, ensuring content satisfies user intent by being insightful, useful, relevant, engaging, and ultimately more helpful than any other content online.

Your articles will be rooted in SEO best practices in order to rank #1 for target queries and reach thousands of people every single day. We are looking for a writer who is comfortable juggling multiple deadlines while turning in “publish-ready” drafts. 

You will also support our PR, marketing, and product team efforts. This will go beyond evergreen content, but instead be immersive, sticky multimedia experiences that grab a reader’s attention, tell a story, and create engagement. You will be responsible for working with additional departments, such as Brand, PR, Design and more, to align ideas to the broader Angi story. 

  • Work closely with Content Researchers and Editors to update and maintain our highest traffic and revenue-generating articles.
  • Understand the ins and outs of our cost guide data, including collection method and data outputs, in order to clearly communicate project cost factors to readers.
  • Write new content for Angi based on targeted high-value project types and tasks.
  • Interpret business data and third party research in order to create original storytelling.
  • Collaborate with UX and design on creative briefs to create rich visuals (infographics, data visualizations, illustrations, etc.) that convey a clear story and aren’t just for “fluff.”
  • Use AI in innovative ways to support content transformation and generation.
  • Manage dashboards and reporting in order to speak confidently about content success when presenting to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate regularly with department managers, editors, SEO strategists, designers, and more to move projects forward.

Skills & Experience Needed for Success

  • 3-5 years of content writing experience, with a focus on search-driven content.
  • A robust portfolio of digital content that demonstrates an understanding of digital web content, ideally in the home, real estate, or finance space.
  • SEO-focused writing experience is required.
  • Experience working directly in a CMS, such as Contentful, is preferred.
  • Proven data analysis skills and critical thinking ability.
  • Experience working with generative AI (OpenAI, Gemini, Meta) is a plus.
  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism , or a related degree is preferred, but equivalent experience will be seriously considered. 
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com.

Compensation & Benefits

  • The salary band for this position ranges $60,000 - $75,000 commensurate with experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as cost of living.
