Fix Low Water Pressure

  1. Cut a wide circle around the sprinkler head with a garden spade

  2. Unscrew the sprinkler head with your hand until it releases

  3. Gently remove the sprinkler head out of the hole

  4. Put the new sprinkler head into the hole

  5. Place it on the male pipe thread at the base

  6. Use your hand to gently tighten the sprinkler head until it is firmly in place

Replace Leaking or Damaged Pipes

  1. Turn off the water

  2. Dig a trench around the suspected damaged piping

  3. Add cut marks to the damaged areas of the pipes

  4. Cut the sprinkler line with a PVC pipe cutter

  5. Clean all of the dirt and debris from the pipe

  6. Take a telescopic repair coupling and collapse it to the shortest length

  7. Add a PVC solvent to the ends of the pipe and inside the coupling

  8. Place the coupling between the cut pipe and extend it

Fix a Malfunctioning Lawn Irrigation Controller

  1. Check to see if the control has power and voltage

  2. Use a multimeter to test the transformer

  3. Check to see if the terminal strip has power

  4. Turn on each station and check to see if they have voltage coming through

  5. Test the valves on the terminal strip by disconnecting the field wires

  6. Test the valve’s solenoids to see if there is any power output 

  7. Test for loose wires or bad wire connections

  8. Perform a check on the controller’s programming
